Mateus has a wonderful location in the heart of Fontainhas, which made exploring Panjim on foot incredibly easy. The heritage building has lots of character and a real sense of place. What stood out most, though, was the warmth of the team. Ashpak was helpful throughout my stay and available when I needed anything, and Prem kindly helped me with a suitcase. Their hospitality made the stay feel personal and welcoming.
My room was accessed by stairs, which is worth being aware of when booking. The rooms are spacious and have plenty of character.

Lovely old well restored house right in the middle of picturesque Fontainhas, it felt like home from home. We could walk to all the places we wanted to visit, it was perfect for a couple of nights’ stay.
We have nothing negative to say.

Location, old world feel and view from outside
Facilities and management is below per. I was denied basic stuff like tooth paste or lighter. AC would not work. Door knob was broken. Washroom jet spray water wouldn’t flow. Internet is slow. Blankets were smelly. White linen bed had random strains. The list is just never ending.
