Apartman Olive

The host was very kind, helpful and genuinely tried her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible despite all the bad luck and problems we experienced. Her attitude definitely compensated for some of the inconveniences and, in the end, helped save our stay. The location is also quite convenient – you can walk down to the more lively part of town, although the apartment is located almost at the top of a steep hill. Just keep in mind that the walk back is quite steep and definitely not one for high heels.👠 :) Not a problem for us but might be for people going to the parties in the old town.

Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues during our stay: a broken bed, a lack of water, an ant invasion, and no information that the water heater is operated by a switch located outside the bathroom. We were told that water shortages are a regular city-wide issue during the hours when tourists return from the beach. However, it was difficult for us to anticipate or fully understand this, especially when we were returning from the beach covered in salt and unable to shower, while someone in the neighbouring building was watering their garden at the same time. There is also no rubbish bin serving the entire apartment building. The host kindly offered to take our rubbish downhill herself, which we appreciated, but if we had stayed longer, this could have been quite inconvenient. The view from the balcony was also disappointing, with rubble and rubbish rather than a pleasant view. There was also barely any toilet paper provided, which is a basic thing we would expect to be available for guests, and there were several other small but noticeable things missing. Overall, there were quite a few shortcomings that could be improved with better preparation and clearer information for guests. The host’s kindness and willingness to help definitely made a difference and saved the entire experience.

Nice and quiet location in new building above the old city. Hosts were very nice and friendly. Apartment was more than enough to accommodate me and my family for 5 days. Fully recommended.
