Stay Nauti and Salty

Love this home, location, decor, Olivia Beach Community, safety of community, quietness, easy access to amenities, and beach (driving or walking up and down a lot of stairs. Home as almost everything you need at your fingertips. Appreciated comfy and clean linens, pillows and towels. WiFi and streaming apps. NEEDS: both bedrooms need new mattresses; both couples slept poorly. Replace living room coffee table with large ottoman so folks can put their feet up while relaxing. Remove bar stools and replace with love seat for extra sitting. Need a pitcher for making iced tea or lemonade. Provide dog waste trash can in back yard. Back door steps and upper balcony have boards that need to be replaced. Battery need to be replaced in front door keyless entry pad. Had to call for assistance to get access to physical keys to access home from back door. OTHERWISE-ENJOYED our 2nd stay at this vacation home especially the exceptional cost to rent it! Wish we'd stayed longer!

The house was amazing, clean. Nice. Quiet neighborhood. It had everything you’d need to have a quiet vacation or to entertain guests.

It shouldn’t be listed as beachfront. Beachfront is walk out the door and you are on the beach. You could see the water some over the trees. but you had to walk a ways to get to the beach and def not able to go to Olivia Beach if you were disabled due to so many stairs to go down and then back up. However, you could drive down the road to Canyon Beach and park and walk onto the beach. The white crushed shell driveway was a little messy and got everywhere, including the car.

We loved that the owners catered to our having a dog. While the backyard was small and our dog was not interested in being there, the fact that there was a park within walking distance, made all the difference.

The broken seashell driveway was messy. It created a mess in the house and in our car. That was the only thing that was unacceptable about the entire stay.

Mixup in our reservation. We changed the original date of our reservation from March 17-21 to March 18-22. We received a confirmation of this change. BUT the evening before we left, we learned that Booking.Com had not forwarded our reservation change to VASCA and they had rented the house starting on the afternoon of March 21. We talked to the VASCA supervisor who explained this. So we had to leave by 10:00 AM on the 21st. It is Spring Break and we had to find a motel for the night on March 21 and could not check in until 4:00 PM. We had a lot of perishable food. This really messed up our plans. Also the stairs were very steep and there was no easy access or view of the beach without a long series of stairs down and then back up.
