Charming characterful residence with a view

Charming medieval tower with character. Superb location in a quint village. We felt it was good value for money, well equipped kitchen and living quarters

To be frank, it wasn’t very clean; cushions that smelt and needed washing and plenty of dust. The bedroom needed a mirror at head height!

Unique stay in the medieval village of Chauvigny.

This was perfect for a one-night stay on a road trip through France. The host was attentive with directions, key codes, and follow up. The Tour Duguesclin faces a medieval wall--excellent location. Chauvigny is a beautiful tiny village. We had a great meal in a nearby resturant.

A unique property offering clean, comfortable and characterful accommodation

The owner was most welcoming via his pre arrival messaging. Everything was clean and well laid out inside the spacious, unique apartment. If you like "rustic and character" then this accommodation delivers. The kitchenette met all our needs and there were sufficient eating out options at hand. A tranquil setting with plenty of walking options. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was excellent apart from having to be careful not to let the shower tray overflow .... shower was very good though.

Cute room

There was no breakfast included, and we were aware of this. However, it was problematic given that anything nearby was not open. Manu (host) with a friendly, accommodating, especially with storage and retrieval of our bicycles.

The room is a bit small. Anyone with mobility issues would have trouble getting up the spiral staircase.

lovely location if local restaurants are open, unfortunately they weren’t

stayed here before but in a different room and we loved it but this room was not very safe. The bedroom was up a spiral staircase , not good in the middle of the night when needing to go !

Highly recommend staying in Manu's hilltop tower and experiencing the ruins/church under the stars!

The host was very friendly and accommodating. The lodging was unique and beautifully situated for a special experience. We loved the town and found lots to do. We wish we had taken Manu up on his offer to accompany us at check-in but with persistence we found the door. Just know that once you find the apse end of the church (opposite end to the entrance), you are 10 steps away from the front door of the tower, which is next to the Pottery studio and the Theater.

Logement et emplacement atypique. Informations pour trouver facilement, et plutôt grand

Cher pour la ville même en considerant la periode, vraiment pas assez propre selon mes critères: poussiéreux, remplis de toiles d'araignées, et d'araignées tout court, ce qui n'est pas agréable. Certe, c’est "la campagne", mais pas à ce point. Phobiques, passez votre chemin! Pas de gel douche.

Mágico y espectacular

Es muy mágico entrar en una torre y pocas veces en la vida ocurre, que uno puede quedarse a pasar unas noches en ella. Con todo su encanto de las épocas pasadas, el piso está renovado y es tan bonito que invita a pasar el máximo tiempo dentro. Es un placer cocinar, comer, dibujar, leer allí. Tiene todo lo que hace un hogar. Nos ha encantado. La vista a la iglesia y a un teatro antiguo es espectacular.

Sucio y descuidado

La ubicación.

Es un apartamento que está sucio y descuidado, no entiendo las buenas opiniones que le dan. Se ve que en su momento hicieron una reforma pero no ha habido ningún mantenimiento y siguen sacando dinero con el mínimo esfuerzo. En el baño la ducha estaba llena de moho, la cesta metálica para dejar los jabones estaba oxidada y con unos botes vacíos. La cocina tenía utensilios sucios, no había campana extractora para cocinar y un colador oxidado. Había 3 sillas incómodas de jardín y la cuarta rota por el lateral. El colchón de una de las camas sucio y sin protector. El cuartucho del palomar imposible de utilizar ya que era una cama muy muy pequeña encajada en un hueco y en un ambiente con olor a humedad.

Mittelalter erleben

Die Lage gegenüber von St. Pierre war fantastisch, am Abend war es schön ruhig. Die Ausstattung das Studios ist sehr geschmackvoll bzw. edel. Angenehm ist auch, dass man mit einem einzigen Code in die Unterkunft gelangt, digital bzw. Ohne Schlüssel.

Man könnte die Reisenden darauf hi weisen, dass es NUR am Nachmittag ein Navette gibt. Der Aufgang zu Fuss ist nicht für jeden machbar. Wer viel Gepäck hat oder schlecht zu Fuss ist, sollte unbedingt ein Taxi nehmen.
