fabulous piece of history in a town with stunning views - well converted to accommodation - central to the old town, restaurants and unique sights - comfortable, newly styled rooms and fittings - staff were lovely

As old town accommodation (our choice : ) , vehicle and pedestrian access is challenging - great if you get an uber or taxi - but hard if you have a hire car like we did ! - not the hotels fault - just a "heads up" for those with a car

It is not a typical hotel and given the history of the building there is a lot of religious iconography throughout. We are not religious ourselves but we found it calming and tranquil. We had a really comfortable simple room with a luxurious bathroom. Our room also had a stunning view over the gorge. The breakfast was really good. It is in the perfect location to explore Cuenca's old town. We aboslutely loved Cuenca which combines breathtaking scenery and magnificent buildings. There is also the most wonderful art gallery showing some of Spain's leading abstract artists. I can't pretend that I understood too much of the art on the walls but the way it was displayed and the building it was located in made it a really memorable experience.
