El baño podía estar algo más limpio.

Fantastic host who was very helpful. Excellent location with a short walk downhill to Ella town and a quick and cheap tuktuk back up the hill. Varied and plentiful breakfast. Lovely family. Washing facilities nearby

Das Zimmer ist sehr gemütlich. Das Bett ist bequem mit Moskitonetz, es würde auch einen Ventilator geben. Die Bettdecken waren so kuschelig! Es gibt Ablagen, etwas zum Aufhängen, einen Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Tee... Das Badezimmer war groß und die Dusche hatte heißes Wasser. Ein Traum sind die Glasschiebetüren zum Balkon. Von dort aus hat man einen traumhaften Blick. Es gibt Balkonmöbel und Sitzsäcke. Wir genossen es sehr! Das Frühstück ist vielfältig, sehr gut und mehr als ausreichend. Nach Ella kann man locker zu Fuß gehen, es gibt Treppen als Shortcut. Abends nahmen wir meist ein Tuktuk zum Heimfahren. Zum Ellas Rock geht man gleich von der Unterkunft weg. Große Empfehlung!

We booked for one night and additionally for two nights (in a row). This is the review for the first night. We stayed in the Double Room with balcony right next to the Breakfast area. The female host is very kind and helpful. The bed had a mosquito net and was very comfortable. Very good Wifi connection in the room. Nice view from the balcony except the uncompleted house construction area. Quiet place only 10 minutes walk to the centre but you need to climb lots of stairs

The bathroom was bad: No place to hang a towel or anything else. After shower the water didn't flow to the drain, but is concentrated in the bathroom. You have to use some device to push the water to the drain. The overall cleanliness of room, bathroom and balcony was really bad. In the room description was mentioned a bottle of water. The female owner told us that it is not included. The pictures in booking.com show the other Double Room with balcony which has the same structure but much better view. In front of the side window is a storage for wood or construction work. We kept the curtain closed. On the balcony were two plastic chairs, one of it with oil on it, we didn't want to sit on it although we tried to remove the oil. Lots of ants on the balcony and in the room. This is no real Homestay. We saw the children only from the balcony, no introduction, no greeting, no communication. Totally different to other experiences we made in Sri Lanka. During our breakfast no asking if everything is okay or asking for our special wishes. After serving and short small talk the owner disappeared to the private rooms . The communication in English was difficult.
