The City Arms

I liked the fact that the property was very close to the cathedral, which was where I needed to get to and also the fact that it was very clean inside the room.

The main inconvenience was the shower - it all looked great and clean, however the temperature tap wasn’t working, so my shower was extremely hot, making it very difficult to have a shower! I had to wash myself in parts and very quickly so I wouldn’t get burnt. Additionally, my room was a little stuffy and the only window opened up to an alleyway where pigeons perched and as soon as I opened the window the pigeons seemed to want to come in the room, so I had to keep the window closed.

All the staff were very polite and very helpful. Location perfect!

Friday night is live music night so would have been good to advise us before stay Music was from 8 ish to 10 45 Also rang a couple of times on way down but there was no response

The room was good value for money. Clean and comfortable. Although it was above a pub, midweek we were not at all disturbed and the pub was virtually empty when we went to bed. Very quiet and comfy night's sleep.

The bathroom needed a bit of an update
