Fantastic experience staying in the heart of Chania old town at Xenia and Costas’ place. As a family of 3 we stayed for a week in the ground floor ‘Zeus’ apartment with enclosed courtyard garden. The place was homely, cared for deeply and the friendly and on site warmth from Costas and Xenia would be hard to match. There were welcome gifts in the fridge on arrival and as the place was serviced 3 times in our week stay, some lovely little homemade treats left whilst doing so. The apartment was very well equipped, absolutely nothing had not been thought of to make it a comfortable stay. Over and above extras such as equipment available to take to days at the beach free to use too. Bedding and towels were plentiful and the AC worked amazingly although with the high ceilings and nature of the windows and doors very rarely required even in August. The outdoor space I would have to say felt unparalleled for the location in the city, no stairs to climb to use a roof garden etc, with an outdoor sink and bar area. We loved using the area in the morning for a cuppa and light breakfast before heading out for the day. On the evening it was a fantastic place to unwind before going out to enjoy dinner in the many places a stones throw away. This area to the rear of the property was tranquil and exceeded our expectations. A 10/10 experience all round, we have been to Chania 5 times now and would have to say the accommodation and hosts made this the most amazing stay so far. The biggest compliment can give it is we’d 100% recommend to our friends and family and would come back to stay in a heartbeat. I appreciated the warm welcome from the host. They made my first time feel like home. The welcome and goodbye treat was very thoughtful. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a quiet space close to the busy centre.
