The property was excellently presented throughout, with a superbly well fitted kitchen equipped with everything that you could possibly need. The cottage bedroom is huge with a gorgeous view and mattress! I enjoyed a daily soak in the huge roll top bath. We simply loved the place. The location is only a 5 minute drive from ample amenities, but far enough away from the tourist filled hot spots within the Lakes. It's great to see the regeneration of the northern part of Cumbria, after the floods of 2009 and then Covid. Vanessa is the perfect host. Attentive to her guests, and just a lovely person.
The fridge door needs adjusting, but then I'm a bit OCD! There is nothing whatsoever that would stop us from staying here again,.

We had the most wonderful Valentine's weekend stay here. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so welcoming and special. Vanessa went above and beyond - baking a delicious cake for our arrival and even having a bottle of Prosecco chilling for us. Such a thoughtful touch that made the weekend feel extra special. We also took the recommendation to visit Buttermere Lakes, and they were absolutely fantastic - breathtaking views and a perfect spot for a romantic walk. Thank you, Vanessa, for your warmth and hospitality. We've made some beautiful memories here and would love to return!
