Decent place for an overnight stay

A place for an overnight stay. The location is perfect, nice cafes nearby. The apartment is a bit rustic, but it seems like it's an old building so you can expect it.

I didn't have trouble sleeping, but if you're a light sleeper then the noises from the nearby rock cafe might disrupt it a bit. I read in other reviews that the shower head was broken some time ago already, and it's still not fixed. The linen had a very strong smell, and the sheets were a bit too used for our liking.

Excellent location, spacious and comfortable.

Very convenient location, minutes from the Arena and one of the entrances to the tunnels which makes access to the castle, forum and other attractions super easy. Very comfortable beds, also spacious, clean rooms with modern, youthful and quirky decor. Excellent communication from landlord. Others have complained/commented about noise but we heard no noise at all - very peaceful and quiet all around. Helpful neighbour too (just by chance), when Maps led us to the property next door, especially good as we arrived at 10pm.

The shower only worked as a hand-held or at mid-height, with the fixture for it being at full height removed. This wasn’t shown in any of the bathroom photos, as the bathroom photo from our room was taken at a different angle. Could use some more cutlery.

Comfortable but a bit loud

The bathroom was super nice and clean and the entire room was very spacious. Communication was also very good and I was able to leave my luggage early and then also check in hours early! Location is also very good, it's very central to the city.

Music from the bar downstairs was quite loud and there aren't any curtains. Additionally, people would smoke right outside of the door from the bar downstairs, and the smell of that somehow got inside even with the windows closed. One of the beds was wonky, with one side of the mattress being higher than the other.

We were disapointed because of the terrible noice during the night.

Location is very good, in the city centre.

It was terrible noice from the night club nearby (during the night, so we couldn't sleep at all), so we leave the apartment 1 day earlier. The location was promoted as apartment but there were no facilities in the kitchen.

Can't have a good rest due to the music

Cons: - For checkin the key was missing from the key box, my friend had to call and sort things by herself since she arrived before me - Music from the bar they have downstairs is INCREDIBLY loud. Impossible to sleep until 2am, even with earplugs, which defeats the purpose of paying for a place to sleep in. - There aren't plates or cutlery in the kitchen. - The shower head holder is missing so you need to do everything with one hand - The whole apartment was full of little moths on the walls

The fridge froze our breakfast so had to eat out and was a little noisy outside until around 1am.

Nice location

The room doesn't look like the pictures. Not a single curtains to cover the windows. My spouse couldn't sleep because of that. The bed is squeaky and not comfy at all. We ran out of hot water very quickly. The check out policy is at 9 am which is too early and different from the booking website where it says 10 am.

The ideal place

Wow. Wow. Wow. There is no reason not to stay here. The location (5 min from ocean, next to delicious bakery), room (HUGE with outdoor area!), staff (so kind, let me store my suitcase downstairs to accommodate late check-out)... exceeded expectations. They could have charged double and I would have been happy!

Disappointed

The place was clean and location good for sightseeing.

I was extremely disappointed by the attitude of the owner. I forgot a few dresses in the closet and unfortunately only noticed it after a few days. As I was still in Croatia I emailed the owner, asking if I could pick them up in the following days. She responded that they had thrown them away after two days as they didn't think I would contact them. When I expressed my disappointment and surprise that they hadn't let me know (especially since they were very nice and not cheap clothes), I was told it wasn't their responsibility and I should take better care of my stuff. In my view it's a minimal standard for a decent host that they contact you when you leave something behind - I know several people who experienced that, even for smaller and less valuable items than mine. For me this is extremely bad and rude customer service. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

Nice room nearby the Arena

The room was nice, with high ceiling and good space. AC was working, quite useful for the hot days. Only a few steps away from the Arena. The host was welcoming, she came to show us the room from a nearby hostel where we picked up the key.

Some small but useful features were missing in the bathroom: towel hanger, mirror shelf. And no TV. Also, the bathroom window is shared with another room, occasioning specific noise.
