Casa da Rainha

Sehr nette Gastgeber - wurden freundlich empfangen und uns alles erläutert. Sehr schöne Lage und Ausblick auf das Meer. Haus mit Charme und guter Austattung. Hatten alles was wir im Urlaub benötigten. Super war der Grill im Außenbereich. Viel Platz, die Terasse und zwei Bäder waren super. Schlafzimmer und Betten waren gut. Schöner Ausblick auf das Meer. Lage ist für tägliche Ausflüge ideal. Gute Restaurants und auch Bademöglichkeiten in kurzer Entfernung zum Haus. Super war der eigene Stellplatz.

Nur Kleinigkeiten. Grundsätzlich hat alles gepasst. Bei der Pad-Kaffeemaschine fehlte leider ein Einsatz zur Nutzung, haben aber eh die Filterkaffeemaschine genutzt. Ein paar mehr Spülmaschinen-Tabs und Toilettenpapier zur Ankunft wäre super gewesen, aber die Grundaustatung ist mehr als ausreichend.

One of the best accommodations we have stayed in a long while! The house has amazing ocean views that you can enjoy from the terrace and porch, or just hide in the lush garden. It is perfectly equipped with anything you may need to make your stay perfect. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean! A beautiful historic stone cottage thoughtfully refurbished and updated in a cozy coastal and traditional Madeiran style.

WiFi connection is restricted to indoor space only, there is no connection on the porch, terrace or garden. The double bed mattress in one of the bedrooms could have been a bit more comfortable.

The view is stunning… sitting on the multiple patios to sun, enjoying all the beautiful flowers in the yard, such a well stocked kitchen! If you are accustomed to narrow streets off the main road and comfortable with mountain driving this is positioned conveniently to access many parts of the island

Very NOISY! The highway ER 101 passes 30 meters below, contrary to what is shown on the Booking map, where the accomodation is falsly situated 400 meters away from the real position (false information which has already been noticed by a former resident, Stefan, see his comment). One can't stay on the terrace more than 40 seconds without a car, truck or motorcycle passing by. It's even worse in both rooms upstairs: slepping with open windows is a challenge! Closing the windows is not a solution: NO air conditioning nor fan provided, with temperatures between 22 and 25 at night. The owner justifies herself that these temperatures are unusual. Another accomodation (Casa da Rainha Bungalows) is rented by the same owner right next to this one, with the same entrance gate and a terrace below which allows one to share the neighbours conversations and everyday life with an overlooking view...
