I really enjoyed the location of the villa — being right on the beachfront made the stay feel very special. It was amazing to have the ocean just steps away. I also loved having a private yard. It gave a nice sense of space and privacy, with comfortable sun loungers where you can relax and enjoy the sun or shade throughout the day.

One thing to note is that there are occasional electricity issues on the island, especially during rainy weather. While the villa does have a power generator, which is helpful, we experienced some inconvenience when it was running. When the generator was on, smoke would come through the ventilation system into both the first and second floors, which made it uncomfortable at times. Improving the ventilation or generator setup would make the stay much more enjoyable.

Abbiamo soggiornato a Villa Patti e, nel complesso, è stata una buona esperienza. La struttura è davvero splendida, situata proprio davanti a una spiaggia meravigliosa e, cosa rara per la zona, incredibilmente tranquilla: l'ideale per chi cerca relax totale senza lo stress dei "beach boys" ogni cinque minuti. L’accoglienza: Al nostro arrivo siamo stati ricevuti da Suilemani, una persona gentilissima che è diventata il nostro punto di riferimento per tutta la vacanza. La sua disponibilità è stata preziosa. Lo staff: Un plauso speciale allo chef, che preparava colazioni ottime, e alla signora delle pulizie. Entrambi sono stati bravissimi e molto cordiali. La posizione: Impagabile. Svegliarsi davanti a quel mare in un contesto così silenzioso non ha prezzo. Una villa bellissima con uno staff umano eccezionale. Se si risolvesse la gestione tecnica del generatore, sarebbe un soggiorno da 5 stelle lusso.

C'è stato un piccolo intoppo iniziale: al nostro arrivo la casa non era pulitissima. Tuttavia, il problema è stato risolto tempestivamente il giorno successivo, quando l’intera villa è stata pulita a fondo in modo impeccabile. Il problema principale riguarda la gestione della corrente elettrica. Sappiamo che a Zanzibar i blackout sono comuni, ma il generatore della villa è manuale e richiede l'intervento di una persona per essere avviato. Una sera siamo rimasti al buio per un’ora e mezza; sinceramente, per la cifra pagata, mi sarei aspettato una gestione più automatizzata o una risoluzione più rapida. È un aspetto su cui la proprietà dovrebbe investire per garantire uno standard adeguato al costo del soggiorno.

Not one of us would go back to that area. We made friends with the locals, but difficult as they hardly spoke English. The other guests kept to themselves so no interactions there. Really boring area. We chose badly.

The area is quiet with no activities or entertainment. Location of villa is on the beach, but the locals felt it was okay to walk into the yard and use the shower while the children climbed on the wall and into the garden. The building works next door was out of order - start pounding at 7am and finish at 7pm. the Villa is a lovely concept but for the price we were paying, we could have stayed in the luxury hotel next door. My daughter spent the better part of 2 days explaining to the host that we were not happy with the villa as no curtains and no privacy. Everyone had a free-for-all look at us having breakfast and dinner. We also pointed out minor things for repair - that wasn't going to happen while we were there. Owner was in Italy - not good to argue with someone when you are not in the property to see it for yourself. Downstairs toilet door won't close - upstairs has no door for the toilet - shower has no curtain, so the floor is wet and smells of damp (wooden floors) - the washing machine doesn't work and the wash sink is not connected to a waste pipe. I spent half a day mopping up the water as the place flooded.
