Anthemis Rooms

The best part of our stay was definitely the owners. They are a lovely elderly couple who were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable, and since we visited in June, the fan provided was sufficient for us. We also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of the property. The island itself felt very safe, and we enjoyed our time in Kokkari.

The room was quite basic and did not have air conditioning, only a fan. While this was not a problem during our June stay, guests visiting in July or August may find the room quite warm. The sea view was much more limited than expected due to a construction site in front of the property. We could only see a small portion of the sea from one corner of our balcony. Some amenities were missing, such as shampoo, so we had to purchase our own. The bathroom could also use some updates, as the shower head could not be fixed in place and had to be held by hand while showering. The sound insulation between rooms was not very good, and we could hear noise from neighboring rooms. The layout of the hotel was a little unusual. The reception and breakfast area were located in a separate section of the building, so we had to go outside and walk around the property to reach them. The biggest disappointment for us was the parking situation. We chose this hotel partly because parking was listed as available. However, there was no dedicated on-site parking, and we were directed to use the free public parking area below the hotel. This meant carrying our belongings and walking uphill with stairs several times a day, which became tiring. The hotel is also located a bit outside the center of Kokkari, so guests should be prepared for the uphill walk. Breakfast was acceptable but fairly basic, with the same selection offered every day, which became repetitive during our stay.

Owners are so nice, they served cold beverages when we arrived first. They have a cat name is Onur 🙃 Cute We like breakfast ( olive, tomato, greek yogurt, cheese, honey, some drinks) Good value for the money, I would say

Stairs might be difficult for someone with knee problems.

The views from the veranda are amazing and it’s located fairly close to restaurants, cafes and beaches.

We stayed in summer so we expected it to be hot. But the only has a fan not A/C so we found the room too hot to sleep comfortably. The breakfast was simple which is fine but there is no variation at all.
