Apartment Ivano

Comfy rural apartment, two separate bedrooms with a separate living room with smart TV, and a kitchen area. Large garden with huge trampoline and some swings. Kitchen is fairly small but well equipped with all the basic necessities, as well as complementary tea, coffee, even coffee filters, and also basic ingredients like salt, sugar, oil and some spices. What made this place stand out were the kind and accommodating hosts. They saw the kids wanted to use the trampoline but it had some fruit and leaves on it from the trees, so the host immediately got to cleaning it, without even having to ask. The hostess baked us a fresh apple pie made from home-grown apples one day, and the next day surprised us with some blintz/pancakes along with fresh home-made strawberry jam, also made of home-grown strawberries. Overall it was a charming experience. Keep in mind that the apartment is in a rural home, so if you don't have a vehicle it can be hard to get to where you need. Nearby (5 minute drive) is a small town with a local supermarket and a few restaurants, and if you drive a few minutes farther there's a shopping outlet with a much larger Tommy Maximarket for more serious cooking. Be sure to eat at Pizzeria Mamma 15 minutes away if you stay here and love pizza.

The apartment is on the second floor so you need to go up a flight of stairs. It was not a problem for us, but for those who have a harder time going up stairs with their luggage, keep this in mind.

Great peaceful location. The host is very nice, they even gave us home baked tasty cookies, that was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The property is great, with everything you need and very clean.

There was nothing to dislike.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Apartment Ivano in Rakovica. The apartment is located in a peaceful family farm setting, which made our stay especially relaxing and enjoyable. Its location is very convenient, just a short drive from Plitvice Lakes National Park, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. The host Rose was warm and welcoming and we especially loved the delicious homemade pancakes prepared for breakfast next morning. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Apartment Ivano to anyone visiting the Plitvice Lakes region.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Apartment Ivano and cannot recommend it enough! The location is perfect for visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park, set in a beautiful, truly idyllic setting. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and equipped with absolutely everything we needed. We were incredibly grateful for the excellent AC, which was a lifesaver during a heatwave. Our family loved the property. Our son had a blast jumping on the trampoline and we all enjoyed getting to feed the chickens. To top it all off, the wonderful host welcomed us with delicious, homemade palačinke (crepes) and strawberry jam, which was such a thoughtful, authentic touch. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Apartment Ivano to anyone looking to visit this beautiful area!
