Outdated, lots of small things. Maintenance needs to be carried out. Housekeeping was inconsistent, often forgot to restock things.

Excellent staff and service.Well mainta ed pool .Food was good .They were very courteous and came in a group to wish me birthday with a small cake which was such a considerate thought.
Ac temp set at 18 which is not really 18 .It was not cooling at all and this was rainy season.Cant imagine a summer.No working fridge to keep your stuff cool.Not sure what the situation .I upgraded to suite thinking ac will be betteer and the fridge would be working.They offered ice to keep stuff cool.

We were in Room 255 I think it was which was right across from their staff room area, lots of banging of the doors, yelling, rooms weren’t soundproof so it made it hard.

All the staff were incredibly kind, and the location being so close to the airport was a huge plus.
It was a great place to stay with our three-year-old — the kids’ facilities and swimming pool were excellent.
The Balinese massage was the best I’ve had in Bali.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

As said the staff are very friendly and helpful. The below issues are certainly not caused by the staff.
This is a typical hotel with an Indonesian standard of quality, but it does not meet Western standards. This likely explains why most positive reviews come from Indonesian guests, who may have different expectations.
There are many issues with the rooms. The air conditioning works very poorly. This was reported and a technician came, but was unable to fix the problem. The entire central AC system is clearly outdated and in need of replacement.
The rooms themselves are dated.
Rooms on the pool/garden side have sliding glass doors made of very thin single glass, which also do not close properly. As a result, a lot of noise enters the room.
The bathroom was not clean and had multiple defects. The refrigerator does not cool properly. The bedding and mattress topper are of poor quality, causing you to wake up drenched in sweat during the night.
The hotel entrance looks very promising and gives the impression of a five-star hotel. The welcome by the staff is also very friendly. However, this first impression is misleading — this is absolutely not a five-star hotel. The garden and pool area are nice, but they do not compensate for the shortcomings.
Conclusion: this hotel is clearly aimed at domestic guests. For Western tourists, this hotel is absolutely not recommended.
Additional note to be aware of: because of these sliding doors, many Indonesian guests sit outside in the evening with the doors wide open and the lights on inside the room. This attracts large numbers of mosquitoes. When such a room is reassigned the next day, it is often full of mosquitoes. Indonesian guests may not be bothered by this, but Western tourists are kept awake at night by the constant buzzing of mosquitoes.

so far, golden tulip jineng was the best city hotel for my family. All the staff was superb! Their GM and F&B manager was so friendly as well. Definitely, will be back for our next staycation.

I thought the hotel looked good from the outside; however, upon checking in, I found the facilities did not meet my expectations.
The air conditioning in my room was not functioning. I had to switch to a different room, and unfortunately, the new room was smaller and not very clean.

The staff were incredible! The rooms well for conditioned. Spacious. The bed was comfy , the lounge was good. The lighting great.
The staff were incredibly helpful i would say that they were probably my favorite part about the stay. The buffet breakfast INCREDIBLE another highlight. The grounds were clean and so very beautifully pleasing.
The bar fridge didnt cool so we couldn't keep drinks cold or fruit or Yogurts for the baby. The kids club needed more toys and fun things to do to keep the kids entertained while there. I can offer to bring toys next time for a discount of buffet dinner inclusions if you would like email me please.

It was close to many great food places. Breakfast was the best I had in long time. Rooms were good size and super clean.
We had to wait till 4:30pm to get the room. Check in was 3pm. I could hear the sound of all the vehicles and it is located on a busy street. Which means almost very little sleep.

Ours was quite a unique experience, and not sure how helpful it may be, but I think it's worth sharing. I booked a room there for my family for the night after the Nyepi holiday, as the following day was Idul Fitry and we wanted to have lunch at the annual buffet there, which we have enjoyed in the past (best beef rendang ever!) We arrived early and was told check-in may take a while with many guests checking in and out at that time. After an hour or so in the lobby, my wife asked if the room (a standard twin bedroom) was ready, and they only then said they would check. A short while later we were given the key, and went over to the room only to find another family in there. To their credit, the hotel was very apologetic, and as compensation for their blunder, upgraded us to a suite, which was quite luxurious with an awesome view of the pool area. The kids loved swimming there, and we had a fantastic buffet lunch the next day.
As mentioned, the check-in process could have been a bit better. In addition to the long wait, and the room not being checked on properly, I also noticed other guests receiving welcome drinks, but not us until I asked.

We had an amazing stay at the place. All the staffs were soooo welcoming and helpfull, friendly. Even from the security staffs, restaurant staffs, housekeeping staffs and especially the front desk staffs. The room is clean and neat, the pool is so clear and refreshing.

The showers were not clean the bathrooms were disgusting, floor mouldy and bathroom had a weird smell to it, felt uncomfortable when showering had to put on my shoes in the shower felt like I was in a camping ground on our floor. They had no iron in the rooms had to contact reception several times to request certain items. The food and milkshakes were a stand out and a family favourite 🤩. The staff were amazing and helpful always making sure my kids weee ok. Those bathrooms were disgusting. Unfortunately.

I liked that we could step out of our room into water.
My husband and I arrived the day before silence day for a two-night stay before our flight home. We had been in Bali for 8 days and had stayed in two different resorts with friends. Both resorts we had no complaints, however, we, were highly disappointed with The Golden Tulip Jineng, concerning because this was the most expensive hotel out of them all. The service at the upstairs bar was extremely slow, it wasn’t even busy. The drinks were 30% more the price than the two previous hotels and no happy hour offered. We spend our first night in the restaurant as we couldn’t find any place to eat in walking distance. The service was slow, we waited nearly 45 minutes, even though it was quiet, the food was not edible, and the wine overpriced.
Breakfast was limited and did not cater for westerners. My husband was sick, and I ordered lunch alone, I opted for the Pad Thai as safe option as I had it several times on the holiday. It was so tasteless and bad that I had two spoons full and had to leave it, even though I was hungry. We had bought drinks & snacks as we knew on silence day, we could not leave the hotel. The fridge in the room did not work, so warm drinks and soft chocolate. We paid extra for the buffet dinner, I tried all different food, EVERYTHING was cold, I was hungry, but cold plain rice was all I could eat, along with some fruit. We had to stay in our room from 6pm with the curtain closed which we understood. The. Room was scruffy and depressing, and the air-con was pointless, it was so hot and stuffy. We’d asked for a wakeup call at 6am for our flight but it didn’t happen, thankfully, we had set our own alarm.
If we could turn back time we would have stayed at our last hotel, if this was not possible, we would have flown home two days earlier. We will never stay in a Golden Tulip Resort again.
