Cape Tribulation Holiday House

A stunning property in a great location. The surrounding rainforest, decking, hammock and plentiful windows make this a beautiful place to stay. On arrival, our reaction was "wow"! Despite being off grid, no problems at all with electricty or water, including hot water for showers. Internet also available. Gardens were very well kept. Restaurants close by (just under 1km roughly). No air conditioning but fans available. Floors and windows were all spotless.

Some maintenance and cleaning issues. We noticed quite a few window and door locks are broken, there was no soap in the bathroom soap dispenser, mattress in second bedroom needs replacing and the ceiling fan in the second bedroom was thick with dust (my husband cleaned it).

A true rainforest retreat!

No egg flip!

We absolutely loved this property. Right in the heart of a rainforest. So peaceful and relaxing. Our biggest highlight was the fireflies in the evenings. We would definitely stay again.

Nothing, loved it

The location of the house was great, very central, the beds were comfy, there was a great selection of games and books and the verandah and outdoor area was lovely. Gardens beautiful and house was clean when we arrived.

The kitchen is not really equipped to say it has a full kitchen. There’s no microwave, the oven was broken so we needed to go outside in the rain to turn it on/off at the gas bottle, there was no gas bottle for the bbq which was situated under the verandah with the bins.
