True nightmare and disaster
The cottages were okay. Also the private parking in front of the cottages is nice.
We arrived at the entrance at 23:10 on the day of our reservation. Gate was locked and no way to enter the facility. I then opened the Booking app to contact the bungalow park and saw their message saying that reception was closed at 21:00. Prior departure I asked the reception via the Booking app if it was okay to check in after 6pm, and the only reply was that it was possible. So with that in mind we started our journey with our car. I did not receive any phone call from the owner in the mean time and were left without any instructions or guidance in the middle if the night in the woods with two kids in the car. True nightmare! I called the number of the owner on Booking.com to only listen to a French recording that directed me to the voicemail. I tried texting through the Booking app and no reaction. We found a hotel 20min away and stayed their for the night and the next morning we drove to the place again, and their response was that they were sorry and tried to contact me through Booking.com. They offered a bottle of beer and breakfast as an apology that is it, but no reimbursement of my hotel costs. In this modern age you can not treat guests like this. Also staff does not speak any other language then French and also ALL written instructions and rules are only in French. If you do not want non French people, then why no delist yourself from Booking. I would never recommend this place in a million years. This is one of the worst hotel experience in my life.

A superb overnight stop off for travellers.
Arrived cold and wet after a long ride in the April rain to a very warm and friendly welcome from reception staff. We were quickly allocated our chalet, which wasn't suitable as it was a double bed. This was quickly addressed and we were able to get into a twin room, get the heating on and take hot showers. The room is small but adequate for two of us with our motorcycle gear and no security concerns about leaving boxes and helmets on the verandah. The shop has delicious locally made beer, which we tested, re-tested and then tested again to be on the safe side. A comprehensive continental breakfast is provided and is more than enough to see you on your way. Would love to come here in the summer.

Superb
The site and rooms are very clean. I especially liked the location, right next to the cascades of the Oise. When opening the window, you could hear a subtle noise from the falling water. Nice!

maybe a kettle or a microwave as a future thought but not an great issue as we travel with a kettle. a shelf in the shower room for toiletries would be good but same in some large hotels

Good
Staff were nice and he spoke really good English. Nice location in the forest. Also pretty quiet.
Checking in staff should inform new arrivals the need to reserve breakfast BEFORE. Turned up at 7am on the first morning to be told no breakfast. Also, chalets could use flyscreens. Kept getting wasps and large flies flying into the room.
