Domaine de la Pinsonnière

Piscine bien entretenue, le domaine se situe a equi distance de Narbonne et Carcassonne ce qui facilite les déplacements. Proche des caveaux et de sites touristiques.

Période de canicule ca aurait été un plus d avoir des volets et/ou une climatisation au rdc. Sinon rien a redire.

The property is perfectly placed to explore the countryside, the wines (especially in La Liviniere) and the interesting history of the Minervois. Short, easy journeys were possible to Minerve, Carcassonne, Caunes Minervois and Lastours. The property is on the edge of the village which has a boulangerie, a pharmacy and a couple of restaurants as well as a few wineries; all easy to walk to. Many interesting walks in the area. As a couple the property was very spacious with good car parking. The swimming pool was superb. The gite was very clean and Jerome was a friendly but unobtrusive host. It is a good gite and offered at a very generous price.

It would be so easy to turn this place into a superb gite with a bit of effort and money. It gave the feeling of not being loved. Reduce capacity by turning the two upstairs bedrooms into one bedroom and an en suite/second bathroom then the second staircase can removed. Give the kitchen a facelift - new fan oven and a modern hob. Smarten up the bathroom. Improve the WiFi. We really enjoyed our week but some aspects of the gite were tired.

An apartment in a beautiful old house with interesting layouts. Well equipped and lot of space. Friendly welcome and help from the owner. La Livinière is a wine producing village so plenty to see.

The location of the shower room is a bit inconvenient.
