Amazing place in great location

Amazing location, a room in an ancient building with a very historic flare, while still being cozy. Lots of attention to detail from tapestry to faucets. The view from the tiny terrace (not directly part of the room but can be used) is stunning and it’s a great place to enjoy a take-home sandwiches from the famous sandwich place next door. Great location, very central.

Not sure if I would’ve felt comfortable staying completely on my own as the place does have a little bit of an old museum flare which might be a bit creepy to some at night, but we loved it

This s an absolutely beautiful old palazzo with authentic features and amazing rooms as shown on the pictures. It is situated in the heart of the city.

The property is old so the electrics went out when we used a kettle. The problem was solved very quickly by the staff.

Stay in family room

Amazing medival house in the heart of Montepulciano that is also a museum. We discovered a problem with our apartment, but the hosts quickly arranged for an upgrade to a bigger apartment, so the problem was solved to our satisfaction.

It Can get a bit awkward checking in at night, especially with the grim and dark portraits and the old artifacts in the flat. And The keys pick up we’re on the other side of the city - a lock box at the property can do the job!

Superb

This stay was certainly a travel backwards in time. I stayed in the "Contessa Eponina" Suite which was charming and spacious. Comfortable bed and quiet location made for a good sleep. The Hotel is a living museum and has its own wine cellar with tasting and dining offers.

A very magical but unusual place - literally, a suite of rooms in a museum. Both rooms of the suite were covered in 19th century frescoes, the display case full of antiques and the palazzo itself an extraordinarily well preserved museum of 19th century Italian aristocratic life. The view from the windows is breathtaking.

A night in a museum may not be for everyone - the bathroom was, let's say, period, the modern facilities (wifi, heating) non-existent. I personally loved the atmosphere of down at heel aristocratic faded grandeur but my partner found it a little too authentic for her taste.

Very traditional stay in a quaint Italian village.

As a lot of the previous reviews have stated it feels like staying in a museum, you also get a glimpse at the family which lived here. The room was more spacious than in the pictures. The location was good to explore the village, and the views were beautiful. The vibe is almost an experience in and of itself with the campy design.

Staying in a museum is a double edged sword, on the one hand very interesting, on the other it hasn’t been fully adapted to host guests so some things could be more comfortable or restored even when maintaining historical accuracy.

Excellent location, in the hearth of the historical center of town.

The closest free car parking facility was full and we had to walk 5-6 minutes uphill with our suitcases to get to the accommodation.
