Nice and available staff (also bilingual), helpful for tours. Overall comfy hostel in temps of equipement, and practical breakfast

The mattress was a little used in the middle section, also location is a little walk from the center and next to a road so a bit noisy at night

Really beautiful house with lots of outdoor space. The staff are increibly friendly, especially Juan. A lot of effort made to remember everyone individually and their names to make the stay more personal. If there are any problems, they will make every effort to solve it for you. The breakfast was also excellent - i used to set an alarm to make sure i was up in time every morning!

It could better if there were more places to relax outside the rooms. E.g. loungers by the pool or more hammocks on the front lawn.

Accommodation was really nice and cosy. Room has a nice view and an external private space where you can read or just enjoy a drink.

I thought that it could have a covered place to hang up your clothes when weather conditions are not so good.

The whole place is just peaceful, has the biggest swimming pool I have seen in a hostel and all is well kept.

we had a good stay at Casa viva, the breakfast was really nice and filling, and it attracted a lovely group of people. the room was big and we enjoyed the pool. nice outdoor seating and friendly staff

Only a few plugs and not by the bed, air con didn’t really work. Also location is a bit out of the way, but not so much that it mattered, if you don’t mind walking 10-15 mins into town

A nice place, great pool, but lots of mosquitoes!

The pool and free breakfast are amazing! Great vibe in the common areas and lots of open space to play games/hang out.

The 'hippie house' had holes in the mesh windows and allowed many mosquitoes to enter the room. We were all badly bitten and did not sleep well for the entire stay.

A great place to stay

The staff were really friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast, comfy bed. Quiet neighbourhood. Although on the outskirts you could walk to the old part of town in less than 10 min. Although i enjoyed my stay there, and perhaps i didnt pay enough attention when booking, however the place caters primarily to young backpackers in dorm rooms. Perhaps something to bare in mind if you dont fall into that group.

The first room (nearest the main door) i was given was small with an overwhelming odour of damp. Thankfully they moved me to a much nicer room the second day. Both rooms had very tiny, cramped bathrooms.

Great stay

- breakfast - huge space to hang out - pool - quite location - cocktails (Happy Hour) - the staff speaks English :) - great vibe

- bad smell in the dorm room - breakfast is supposed to start at 8am but mostly they start taking the orders 10past 8 and it takes like 10-15 minutes until the breakfast arrives … I had to catch the bus early on the last day of my stay and didn’t have the time to enjoy breakfast, because I just had like 5 minutes to eat - no laundry service at hostel - no self cook kitchen (always had to ask them to warm up my food or had to order my meals somewhere)

Very clean, comfortable and cute. It had a nice atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. It’s around 10–15 minutes walking from the town centre. Good breakfast too.

A ‘surprise’ at first, but it grows in you.

The pool and communal area is excellent. I was in the hippy shack. Essentially a wooden shack out the back. I was initially surprised, however, it turned out to be quite good being away from the main property, and people told me it was less cramped. Having a restaurant on sight was great, although I didn’t utilise. All the staff I encountered were exceptionally nice and helpful. They can organise pick up and drop off washing options.

Apparently the mosquitoes are bad. I personally didn’t get bitten, but most others were attacked. If you sleep even 10 minutes past 10, there is very little exception to the free breakfast, you’ll miss it. Although personally I liked the stroll to the middle, I could understand how some kind find it off putting. Although I thought I read there were clothes washing options on site, this is not the case, despite there being a laundry there.

Peaceful pool hostel, great place to chill out

The communal spaces were fantastic! Lovely peaceful hostel with a great bar and restaurant and a great pool. Beautiful gardens around the pool. The friendliest staff ever, they really made our stay!

Bathroom of our dorm room should have been cleaner - we asked them to clean it and they did, which makes it a bit odd it wasn't being properly cleaned in the first place, but at least it was cleaner then (but still not quite up to standard). Didn't have a communal kitchen and the restaurant stopped serving food at 8. No individual lights and not many plug sockets in rooms.

Beautiful setting, great social areas and top staff!

The communal areas and garden were great. It was a nice environment to socialise and the pool was huge! The staff are the best thing about this hostel. Big thanks to Franco, Juan and Debora. They were so helpful and friendly

The bathroom in the dormitory needs updating. It was tired and damp, with mould in many places. The dormitory was a bit too small, there wasn’t a lot of space to move around when several people are in the dorm at the same time. These are just minor details.

Juan was one of the nicest managers ever. You get a free Netflix login. Nice breakfast. Clean/wide 15m swimming pool. We got to feed baby monkeys bananas.

Bathroom was a little dirty/dated. 10min walk into town.

Breakfast was amazing! Pool looked nice but it was a shame we were a bit unlucky with the weather otherwise we'd have made good use of it!

The room was good but it could improve a lot by more places to hang towels to dry (bath towels, beach towels etc). It was a small annoyance to come back from the beach and have to improvise where to hang out towels..

The pool is nice and big, the breakfast is made yo order and nice, the location is good, the staff is nice.
