Relaxing area, great hosts and with the added bonus of a balcony over looking the Mosel River
Excellent breakfast very Germanic ,more or less the same everywhere , rolls butter , breads , meat ,cheese ,boiled egg, etc but our host went to the trouble of setting our table nicely and also setting up a breakfast buffet with cereals, extra breads ,jams , and yokhurts etc . In a nut shell AS GOOD AS IT GETS !!! Thank you to our hosts .

Excellent stay on the Moselle
Very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated room with large bathroom. Excellent value and excellent hosts. Next time we will try and get one of the rooms with a view of the moselle. Nice little town for a nights stopover.

Location was dreamy
Everything about this place was awesome! Balcony overlooking the Mosel, nice room decorated lovingly, breakfast was yummy. The owner was very personable and available when needed but never intrusive even though I think she lived in the building. Was all In all my favorite hotel along the Mosel during our weeklong tour:)
The main street is right there, but most of the hotels on the Mosel are like that, so it did get a little loud at night from the traffic. A fan in the room for hot nights would be a great addition too.

Aussicht auf die Mosel, Einrichtung neu und modern. Alles war sehr sauber. Frühstück war prima, die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich. Wir konnten unsere Fahrräder sicher in der Garage unterbringen.

Zeer aangenaam verblijf op een goede locatie en met behulpzame gastheer/vrouw.
Wij reisden met 3 koppels zodat we alle 3 de kamers konden innemen. We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen.
Prima ontbijt, mooie ligging, zeer behulpzame gastheer & -vrouw, correcte prijzen.
Onze oldtimer kon bovendien in de garage van de gastheer geparkeerd worden
Een detail : in 1 van de kamers was de badkamer wel vrij beperkt.
Voor de rest was alles prima in orde.

Ein sehr gelungener Kurzurlaub
Die netten Vermieter besonders. Dann das Zimmer mit dem Balkon und der tollen Aussicht auf die Mosel. Auch beim Frühstück hat es an nichts gefehlt. Und der Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür war natürlich sehr gut . Wir können diese Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen

Eine Reise in die Vergangenheit mit dem Komfort von heute
Der Aufenthalt errinnerte mich an die 70er Jahre, als es gang und gäbe war, in Privatpensionen zu übernachten, da noch nicht so viele Hotels existierten und das Budget für diese mitunter nicht ausreichte. Die schönen Kindheitserinnerungen von der Mosel wurden beim Aufenthalt im "Weinladen" wieder ganz präsent. Der persönliche Kontakt zu den Gastgebern, das familiäre Umfeld, Herzlichkeit und Moselcharme - all das war wieder da, gepaart mit den Annehmlichkeiten des 21. Jahrhunderts.
Das wirklich schnuckelige Zimmer mit traumhaftem Moselblick, ein kleiner Balkon, bequemes Bett, sowie Dusche + WC im Zimmer und nicht mehr wie in den 70ern wie in vielen Pensionen auf der Etage, ließen nichts vermissen.
Das Haus ist mit drei Zimmern sehr gemütlich und überschaubar und bietet Gelegenheit für einen tiefenentspannten Aufenthalt - nicht zuletzt, weil das Gastgeberehepaar Andrea und Michael Schmitt dem Urlauber genau solch einen Eindruck vermittelt. Stets einen Tipp parat, nette Gespräche beim Wein, präsent und gleichzeitig unaufdringlich dezent. Wir fühlten uns willkommen, gut aufgehoben und rundherum wohl.
Das kontinentale Frühstück bestand aus schmackhaften Produkten. Der Lebensmittelverschwendung wird vorbeugt, indem man eine kleine Platte mit einer Wurst- und Käseauswahl bekommt. Sollte die nicht reichen, kann man gerne nachordern. Aber dieses dosierte Konzept ist wesentlich nachhaltiger, als volle Buffets, von denen dann die Häfte im Müll landet.
Im Untergeschoss zur Hauptstraße befindet sich ein Weinladen, der täglich geöffnet hat. Hier kann man Weine und Spirituosen des Winzers Bernd Hermes probieren und kaufen - natürlich auch die regionale Kultlage "Kröver Nacktarsch".
Kröv bietet zahlreiche Restaurants, Strausswirtschaften und Weinlokale für jeden Geschmack und Geldbeutel - allesamt fußläufig erreichbar. Wander- und Fahrradmöglichkeiten sind durch die recht zentrale Lage zwischen Trier und Cochem exzellent.
Mir fällt beim besten Willen nichts ein, was ich bemängeln möchte oder könnte. Klar, es handelt sich um ein älteres Anwesen, das zu einer Zeit entstand, als man noch anders baute als heute. Da muss man räumlich manchmal improvisieren, aber selbst das ist gut gelungen. Auch hier gibt es den Daumen hoch - ich habe nichts zu kritisieren.
