Apartment Penthouse Ema

We loved the amazing 270 degree views from the various windows and balcony of the sea, harbour, shipping, old town and Marjan Hill and inland to the mountains. Absolutely fantastic! The flat is attractive and has a nice layout and modern decor. There is a full range of utensils in the kitchen. The owner kindly left some drinks in the fridge and welcome snacks. She was really friendly and helpful, even though we arrived late in the evening and we were all pretty tired. The apartment building is old but secure and the surrounding area feels safe, even late at night. There are a couple of supermarkets very near and the close-by gas station shop is conveniently open 24 hours/day.

The shower in the bathroom is hand-held. Wall-mounted would give a better experience, but we managed OK. We would have found having bedside lights useful. Everything else was great.

A million dollar view of the harbour and bay of Split without the noise and crowds of being right in the heart of Old Town 😁👍Situated an easy 15 minute walk or an 8 minute Uber ride from Split bus station…Apartment Ema was a real home from home..with the hostess Biljana providing lots of welcome provisions, complimentary toiletries and a wealth of tourist information that made our stay very comfortable and a complete success. Biljanas personal welcome and advice on public transport and access to beaches and the Islands worked better for us than any tourist guide😁. The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable..it was also close to a bakery a decent size supermarket and was still only a 15 minute walk into the Old Town. With two beaches the Old Town, everything that Split has to offer on your doorstep and a breathtaking view as well..we would definitely recommend Apartment Ema.

It is a Penthouse apartment so don’t book to enjoy the fantastic view if you dislike being high up or don’t like elevators!

About a 10 minute walk from the old town

The apartment was spacious, the view was terrific and the bed was comfortable.

They advertised free parking ( important to me as this was #2 on my list.) Contrary to this is the fact that our car was towed away within 30 minutes of arriving and we parked where “Ema” told us to park. After the fact, she said that we should have left room for an adult and a baby stroller to pass by-how would tourists know about this rule in Split?They did drive us to pick up the car but we had to pay E60 yet our hosts took no responsibility for this situation. Description included a coffee maker, but clients in early August had broken it; not our fault and most annoying. They aren’t replacing it until Booking.com deals with the earlier incident and providing instant coffee, wasn’t really a solution. We moved an umbrella stand so we could place our shoes near the entrance and not dirty the floor; a curt text from the host told us not to move things. Too many rules plus the tow,made for an uneasy stay as we are considerate clients.
