Definitely stay here if you have the chance and want authentic french!

I highly recommend staying at Les Carmes. It was an amazing property and the host made us feel so at home. It was quintessentially french and just what we were looking for! It was relaxing and off of the beaten path, quiet but easy to get find. What a beautiful life!

It was a memorable experience to stay in Les Carmes and Spa during our time in Provence

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Once arrived, our hots Pascal gave us warmly welcome and helped to carry our luggage to the house. He then provided everyone with wine and introduces facilities in the hotel. The room was spacious and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The daily breakfast was excellent and served by host by himself. Everything was smooth and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We just wish the weather had given us a few more sunny days.

Absolutely the best

CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH. Pascal the owner runs the place personally, he is extremely friendly, and passionate about the business and Provence. Very old style cozy rooms, but WiFi throughout the property. Excellent breakfast served daily, and dinner chef was on vacation while I was there, but Pascal recommended a nearby tour course and restaurants. We personally went to Gordes and loved it. Private jacuzzi + dry/wet spa for €28/pp was so worth it. We stayed during non-peak season, so we got to use it for 3 hours and just turn off the power when leaving We also lost some clothes here, left them inside the closet. Pascal sent them to our next hotel in Paris and we were able to receive it! Do bring mosquito spray and post-bite gel/cream for the swimming pool.

Very pleased with this choice to visit the Luberon - on my third trip.

Everything you need for a visit to the Luberon - plus Pascal as an asset to assist you planning your visits to this beautiful area. Wonderful breakfast, excellent out of town location and unbeatable hosts. What's not to like.

Beautiful and relaxing overnight stay

We loved our overnight stay at this property on our journey from the UK down to the South of France. Pascal and Sara were both so welcoming. We travelled here with our two young children who loved the beautiful pool, surroundings and breakfast hot chocolate. The breakfast was delightful in a gorgeous setting on the terrace. Pascal is one of life’s special people who make you feel at home from the get go. I hope we will return one day.

Beautiful, calm, and a terrific value; engaging host and lovely extensive gardens.

The host was gracious and welcoming. He greeted us with complimentary white wine and olives. The rooms were enormous - as part of our suite, we had two sitting rooms, a giant bedroom, and a private garden all to ourselves. Decor was fanciful, romantic, and reflected the host's lovely personality and the region's character. This 14th-century convent has been expertly converted into a unique and comfortable vacation hideaway. Breakfast, served on the beautiful terrace, included homemade croissants, superb cheese, and local artisanal yoghurt. The heated pool was a wonderful way to relax, and we enjoyed seeing the wild rabbits scamper through the beautifully-manicured grounds. Children would be especially happy with the giant outdoor chess set and croquet court, and lots of little gardens to explore. Only nine minutes' drive from L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Our Franco-American family will certainly return!

Amazing hotel!

We loved this hotel! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They helped us book a restaurant for dinner since we forgot to make reservations. They made a tour of the place when we arrived because it’s so lovely there that they want to show you everything they have to offer. We also got a complimentary glass of wine while waiting for our room. Breakfast was amazing, most of it was homemade. The hotel is beautiful. The room was cozy and clean and I loved the interior design and the whole style of the hotel. The location was perfect ( if traveling with a car). Amazing place!

A relaxing stay at a gorgeous property with a fun host.

The host Pascal was so helpful and lots of fun and each night he hosted drinks so all of the guests could meet. The chateau was very grand plus a delightful outdoor area to eat breakfast (croissants, bread, jams, muesli, fruit & yoghurt), a pool to cool off on warm days, croquet plus a spa and gym. You need a car as the property is about 5min from the nearest town. Pascal advised of good restaurants to dine at each night in a town close by. Judy & Steve (Crocodile Dundee as named by Pascal)

Good place to stay close to Isle sur la Sorgue. Good value for the money.

Beautiful house. Beautiful breakfast and Aperitif area outside. The breakfast was amazing- much love put into it. Pascal is a great host-he makes sure that all guests are well cared for. Very kind greeting. We unfortunately missed the aperitif hour- but the seems to be a generous tradition of the house.

The bathroom facilities are clean but a little bit outdated.

Peaceful stay at a historic Provençal property

Impressive Provencal building with a small number of unique rooms. Beautiful garden with old trees and a little pool. Very peaceful due to its remote location. The owner and staff were very friendly and made us feel at home from the beginning. Breakfast is also outstanding, especially the homemade Croissants and Marmelade. Truly an amazing place!

Great place, great location and super great host.

The place is fabulous. Sixteenth century Abby that produced wine for the Pope in Avignon. But what we remember most is the energy and hospitality of Pascal, the owner and host who is 110% focussed on you having a great time. On the day of our departure, he insisted we eat breakfast early well before his normal hours -- he made, served it and helped us with our luggage. Room was large and had a separate sitting area. Facilities have lots of things to explore. You do need a car but that said, this place is well positioned for day trips to the Luberon and Cotes du Rhone.

Amazing!

Firstly the welcome from Pascal; He shines positivity and did everything humanly possible to make our stay memorable. The building is astounding. It felt like stepping into history, except the place is impeccably maintained. The gardens are typicaly provencal, with the, pool and spa, a very nice added extra. The room was idyllic and tastefully decorated and the breakfast is copious, local and accompanied by Pacal's finishing touches...ohh the home made croissants! A big thanks to Pascal and rest assured, we'll be back

Treasured memories in the Provence!!

It is difficult to find people like Pascal and Marion, and spending a week at Les Carmes was like being home for the holidays!! From the delicious freshly-baked local, organic breakfast to the daily Apero by the fire, sharing stories and enjoying Pascal's home-made olives and regional wines... we will treasure the memories of our stay for ever!! The little town of L'île sur la Sorgue was a perfect base for exploring the Provence, and we also enjoyed a few wonderful gourmet dinners there. Thank you dear Pascal, with love from Cristina, Dominic and Louie. We will be back!!
