The key was in a box and, thanks to the photos sent by the host, it was quite easy to find.

After making and paying for the booking, they asked for a security deposit, which I had not been informed about. The deposit is €100 and they promise to return it within 7 days. I only received my money 10 days later, after repeatedly contacting them through different channels. For the first several days, none of my emails, messages, or phone calls were answered. Information about the security deposit MUST be included in the property description so that guests can be aware of it in advance. I chose the non-refundable “pay now” option, so I had no possibility to cancel the booking once this unexpected requirement appeared.

The apartment is beautiful, clean, modern, and cozy. It has everything you need, including dishes, pots and pans suitable for cooking, and plenty of kitchen utensils and cutlery—knives, forks, a wine opener, a knife sharpener, and much more. As a bonus, there is a French press and coffee provided. There is also a large refrigerator with a freezer. The sauna is excellent—easy to turn on and off, and it heats up quickly. The sauna window offers a beautiful sea view overlooking the harbor.

Hidden €100 security deposit requirement — this is not visible before booking, but it should be clearly highlighted in the description, preferably in large red text. This is especially inconvenient when booking a non-refundable rate: first you pay through Booking.com, and only later discover that you must also pay an additional €100 security deposit. The deposit notice states that it will be refunded within 7 days, but why it should take so long, if everything is ok with the room? However, when we arrived, we found furniture that was already damaged. The table in the bedroom was barely holding together, and there was also damage to the kitchen furniture. The balcony glass system was broken. According to the owner, it was supposed to be functional, but one glass panel was missing. We did not dare to move any of the panels because we were worried that something else might break or that the remaining glass could fall out. The sauna lacked basic sauna accessories—a sauna bucket and ladle were missing. What kind of sauna is it without steam? We had to improvise using whatever was available. The bed was uncomfortably soft, with what felt like an inadequate mattress, and the pillows were far below an acceptable standard. Although blackout blinds were installed, they did not darken the room sufficiently, and early morning light streamed through gaps in the curtains, disrupting our sleep. Having stayed at many different accommodations, we have never encountered such a level of unfriendliness or lack of hospitality. After booking and paying the security deposit, we received a long message listing numerous things that were prohibited. What bothered us most was the uncertainty about whether the security deposit would actually be refunded. Because of this, when we discovered the damaged furniture upon arrival, we photographed it and documented everything else as well, so we would have evidence that the damage already existed before our stay.
