Hotel Château Gbeľany

The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. The breakfast is very good. The castle itself is interesting to explore.

Room rates exclude pool & gym usage. The pool is cold & tiny. The rooms are cold & have no ventilation nor temp. control. We called reception to ask for more heating & the receptionist started to argue with us about the room temp. (he was wrong, btw). Location is middle of nowhere, next to a bunch of smoking factories. Won’t be coming back.

It’s so easy to relax and regenerate there - the facilities, staff, quietness and of course the magnificent spa make even a single night stay very rewarding and memorable

Object was recently renovated and it looks really nice. It has an interesting mini display with stuff that was found during the renovation, and a viewing tower which was fun to climb (positively surprised by it, since in other countries they probably wouldn't allow you to climb such a thing). It has a big private parking area which is fenced off for the night and a place to secure your bikes to (this one could be bigger with better attachments). Room was clean with all the basic necessities.

Soundproofing wasn't really nice. In the morning we heard very loud steps from the floor above and the ceiling was squeaking. Wellness center is not freely accessible. It is open only in very strict limited hours and you can only enter for predefined 2 hour intervals (7.5€ per person). It is also completely closed on Mondays and Thursdays and we were informed about it only after booking. There was no AC in the room. Our fault for not making sure beforehand, but for that price it honestly is expected as a standard. Room got quite hot in the summer heat, and you are not supposed to even ventilate it during the day. The neighbourhood is not that nice. Hotel is far away both from the city center and from trails. It is in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of industrial sites all around. No waking anywhere is kinda out of the question. Bed didn't have one big mattress but two smaller ones. Would like to have more hooks in the bathroom and maybe more storage in the room.

Good and nice place. Second Time there...

Because of one person at the front (miss T.), the expérience ended by a very ugly feeling. Ok we were late at the chekout and because of misundertandings for an upgrade, the person was very unpleasant. She should learn how to speak and be respectful to a customer !
