Place is located around the corner off a main street, so it's quiet. Felt like a safe neighborhood. There's a locked front gate so staff have to let you in, so good security. The facility meets all the basic needs -- decent room, kitchen, dining table, laundry on site (air dried) for 30,000 Colombian pesos ($8.40 USD), good wifi, rooftop, attentive on site staff, 5-10 minute walk from grocery store, gym, restaurants, and Suramericana metro station. Overall a solid value.
Entrance is a little difficult to notice, place feels a little isolated if you arrive late like I did (midnight).

Typical and very basic hostel vibe and in a good way. The facilities are outdaded but still everything is functional. Loved that both floors had well equipped kitchens. Sufficient space to prepare meals. When I was there (May 2026) it was very quite in the hostel which I didn't mind. Overall there were no real remarks. The rooftop is very spacious. .
It would be nice to be able to access the balconies on both floors or get explained how that works. They looked chill but the doors were always locked.

The staff team very helpful especially the volunteer Sophia who spoke good English and gave me good tips on getting around.single beds not bunk beds

This a nice place: clean, hot showers, nice staff, safe area and it will be a good fit for many people (but this is not a good place for backpackers).
Not good for solo travelers. The dorm was weird, no place to lock your staff, and i had in my 3 bed dorm an actuall family. With a little girl. That is just super weird and really unpleasnt for me. Super uncomfertable. I feel like small children shouldn't even be allowed in shared rooms. Its un safe for tham, and just a bad idea. I had an overall bad experience there. Plus the family treated the room like it was theirs. I actually woke up and saw the womans naked butt. I didnt enjoy that at all!!!
I feel like the hostal had some responsibility here as well. They shouldnt allowlet little kids in dorms.
So, over all, i really dont recommend. All the points i gave are in case you want to take a private room ant then its an ok place.
