Valentino apartments Bouganville Bay Saranda

The apartament was spacious and tidy. It has everything we needed (besides a kettle). It has great location, 30 min walk to the port and about 20 min walk to the promenade.

When we wanted to use the pool, it turned out that we have to pay for that 700 lek per person :). That wasn’t an included information anywhere so we were very shocked. The pillows on the bed was the most uncomfortable pillows ever. They were soooo hard.

The location was great. The room was nice and clean and it had a nice terrace with a great view. Watching the usnset was so beautiful! The hosts were kind enough to help us organize parking on the street so that we did not have to pay and park in the garage.

It was difficult to communicate with the hosts as they did not speak English. To use the pool you have to pay. We were told this prior to booking, however, it was double the price to what we agreed on. This was a bit of a hussle, trying to communicate this and finding the "people" we were told to look for to check the price. The owner (son of the hosts we met for the keys), who is out of the country, did offer to pay the difference which was nice. The pool music started really loud to play every morning, really early. This was right under our balcony. Also, it was hard to get the sunbeds at the pool as people come really early, prior to pool opening and put their towels on the chairs, then go back to bed I assume. It would have been nice to have toilet paper when we got there.

The view was amazing when we eventually found the right place. The apartment is part of a larger complex and hotel, with no name of the actual property. The apartment was complete with almost everything.

The kitchen lacked some essential items such as a kettle, T-towel or toaster. The whole set-up was an enormous puzzle to find your way around, made worse by building work next to the accom.
