Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun Myeongdong

The hotel is a bit tired and do with a freshen up but the room was clean, comfortable and extremely well located. Small rooms for a family of 3 but would have been great for 1 or 2 people. Good value though.

The hotel just feels a but tired, the carpet doesn't fit, the doors are a wobbly, the toilet was noisy but clean and comfortable enough.

Excellent location and facilities. This is neither a Hanok nor any special or different place, it's more a business hotel type but after hours in the heat of Seul, we really appreciated the confort and modern facilities of the property.

The cleanliness of the rooms was pretty good. Clean bathrooms and the staff pretty helpful as well, staff was pretty top notch on top of things. Very very sincere and friendly.

The hallways could be a little more cleaner, carpets are all warped and to tripped a couple of times walking down the hallway. The laundry facility although it’s free I would use it because the wash itself was ok the dry machine was horrible, the dry machine would not dry at all. Ended up taking my wet clothes to a nearby washing facility to get it rewashed and dried properly. The air conditioning in the rooms were horrible, only 1 setting and that was low. There’s a thermostat in your room and you can control the template but only one speed setting and it’s low. Also the gym was not what I expected, need to defiantly get updated with new and cleaner equipment, ended up going to the gym down the block where it was clean and new equipment, ran into people at the gym down the block that were staying at Shilla stay at that gym telling me the same thing about the laundry room , the hallway carpeting and the gym.

Run down, small rooms, smaller bathrooms. Photographs paint a very different picture than the actual room and hotel.
