Definitely worth the effort to get to this remote, unique destination. We highly recommend it!
This place is centuries old, however with all the modern necessities. The restoration, done by the owner, has been done with meticulous attention to the original. With renaissance art in the shared parlor, we were transported to another time. We had a fabulous stay! Our room was large and comfortable. Coffee in the morning in the parlor. The location is right on the piazza at the entry of the town. Friendly folks at the restaurants that cater to the many tourists that visit during the day. The evenings are quiet and magical. Known as "the dying city" by the Italians, it is a once in a lifetime experience. One must spend a night to truly its ambiance.
Getting here was an effort. We came by bus from Orvieto and had to walk through the town of Bagnoregio and then across the bridge. Be aware and pack light!

The check in was fully automatic, with a code provided. So no contact with hosts. The location is absolutely amazing. Staying there involves a bit of a walk up there, but it's such a wonderful experience to stay in the town. Our room and common space were excellent, and there was a great coffee shop right out the door. This is an absolutely beautiful little town. A must visit.

Excellent location
Finding the parking spot was impossible. Not sure we ever found the spot described. We ended up paying 15 euros for a spot and hoped our car would be there upon our return. Very frustrating… The attention to detail wasn’t great. Original check in instructions didn’t have a working link., but owner promptly responded. WiFi name on card in room wasn’t accurate but able to figure it out.

The Window did not open, no ac and very small fan and quite hot. Not the cleanest. Lots of insects.

The place is wonderful and the location is just marvelous, what a beautiful spot! With a lovely view on the valley.
The system to (un)lock the door was a bit of a struggle in the beginning, but once you know and understand - it’s easy. The host responded quickly and helped us out.

Librera Mente Civita great location
The location at the Piazza San Pietro was so convenient as it was right at the Civita entrance.The bed was comfortable and clean. The living room was cozy. And the view over the valley was amazing.
We travelled in July and the summer heat was very intense. The fan was too small and didn't help much to dissipate the hot air from the room. We perspired even with the tiny fan blowing directly at us. With a bigger fan or a wall mounted fan, it could have been more comfortable.
