Lowestoffe Country Lodge Rockford

We had an absolutely wonderful two-night stay here as a family of five. The house was incredibly spacious, with four large bedrooms, two bathrooms, very comfortable beds, and a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. What truly made this place special was the peaceful atmosphere and the breathtaking views of the mountains and rolling hills. Visiting during the fall season made it even more magical — the scenery was stunning, calm, and refreshing. It was the perfect place to completely recharge both mind and body and reconnect with nature. One of our favorite things was waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of birds singing and farm animals nearby. The quietness and natural beauty surrounding the property created such a relaxing and unforgettable experience. If you are looking for a place far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the perfect escape. It is peaceful, beautiful, and truly magnificent. There were only a couple of minor issues during our stay, mainly some water-related problems and the kitchen tap’s cold water needing to be fixed. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful, and we genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay. We would happily recommend this beautiful retreat to anyone wanting peace, nature, and a chance to truly unwind.

We loved the bird life, load and clear around the house. We also appreciated contact en route with the owner to find the place easily. What a beautiful river!

Directions could have been better however we did find it eventually

There are several different rooms, beds and pillows to choose from and it was easy for everyone in our family of 5 to find something to their taste. It was absolutely quiet and dark and we all had a wonderful, restful night. The house is very spacious and was spotlessly clean and fresh.

Not much to dislike at the price. The duvets were too warm for Summer but the light blankets provided worked fine. Getting there involves travelling on a farm road and a car with decent ground clearance - but the host did alert us this beforehand. The location is relatively far from town, considering the travel time (about 30 min from Hogsback) but the upside is being out in the beautiful countryside and feeling safe.
