Apartment Tarman

The electronic key was obtained via an automated terminal easily accessible on the front side of the property. The property was clean and just a 10min drive from the main town Jesenice. A large washing machine and dryer were available in a separate nearby utility room. The hosts notified us in time of an upcoming power outage by the power company (two days, 8.00-14.00) and made sure we were given a regular key for our apartment in case the electronic door lock wouldn't let us in.

Personally, I prefer (a few) interactions with a host. However, during the four days that we stayed, we didn't see anyone. While booking, I noticed that no indoor pictures were displayed so it was a bit of a gamble how the interior would be. For us (family of 4, staying just a few days) it was okay, but if you stay longer it might be a bit too small (e.g. only a two burner electric cooktop, no dishwasher). We were unfortunate the experience a two-day power cut (8.00-14.00), issued by the local power company. This affected the electronic door lock and WiFi (that otherwise worked perfectly).

Super convenient check-in with a smart automat, which is open 24/7. Never met the host, but they have a reliable system and there was a number to call if help was needed. Decent bed which was firm but not too hard, appliances to cook and a fridge to keep drinks cold. Free parking outside of the house and in a small and silent village, only a few minutes away from Jesenice which have shops and restaurants.

We had a bit noisy neighbours in the other apartments and the sound travelled quite easily between apartments. During the night a woman was vomiting in the toilet next door and we woke up due to that. Apart from that no other downsides.

This comfortable apartment is a fantastic choice in the Slovenian Alps, settled in beautiful surroundings with a large stream flowing just opposite the property. The place is run by a family living there for generations. The owners are very nice and warm. The self check-in terminal is a great value. One can arrive at any time, even at night, and handle the whole procedure within minutes.

The village was really nice.

The place smelled not nice and it looked really old. We changed it to a different place after one night (we paid for 5 nights).
