At Home Guest House

It's my 4th time here. I love this unpretentious, friendly and incredibly clean little Guest house. I like the tiles on the wall in the rooms. It's so easy to keep it fresh and clean. There's a large chilled outdoor, covered sitting area, DSA, and cold beer for sale at a good price. They do breakfast too, sensible ones. You don't have to pay for the full works, as you do elsewhere. Excellent location. So close to Khao San road, but set back from it, so it's quiet. You can catch buses to all the transport hubs, including to the airports, just meters away. The rooms all seem to be different. The room I got this time was even better than the ones I've previously had, more practical. Private bathroom with a hot shower. Toilet paper, towels, soap, shampoo and bottled water was supplied. The room also had a fridge. The aircon worked fine, and it was a ceiling fan too. The WiFi had improved since the last time I was here, with a separate access point downstairs.

It was nothing I didn't like.

So close to basically everything we wanted, bars just there, but you can avoid it all in the hostel, nice and quiet, 10 minutes away from malls in a grab

My only issue is there’s no ac just fans but that is written in description, however rooms are very warm in peek season

Would have been good to have more power outlets

There is always someone at the front desk, and despite some people saying they weren’t very friendly, we found everyone to be quite pleasant. The beds are fine (I’ve definitely slept in much comfier) but when you are literally a stone throw away from Ko San Road I’m pretty sure, for most, it’s probably just somewhere to sleep off the booze aha. It was clean throughout our stay and very quiet considering its location!

The rooms get so hot. We stayed in a fan room while we were there and adopted a new catchphrase “no fast or sudden movements” as to not waste what little cold air there was ahaha. They do offer AC rooms for an extra charge, which we did do as a treat on our final night. (The beds are also far comfier in the AC room aha)
