Maliana Homestay

The view from our room was amazing and definitely the highlight of this stay. The room was comfortable and clean, no air con which we knew already, we requested a fan and it was more than sufficient as the air is cooler up in Munduk than other areas of Bali. The location was right in the village and the family happily gave us a lift up to the start of the waterfall trail which we were grateful for. Several choices for basic breakfast which is served on balcony, eggs, pancakes and Indonesian options. Couldn't fault the accommodation for the price point at all and we would happily return.

We booked our transfers to and from the accommodation (selecting a driver for the day), specifically choosing and paying more for a LARGE mini van as we were 5 people travelling with all of our big luggage. we were contacted on pick up morning by Maliana to advise that the HI-Ace was broken down and they would send 2 cars - which they did (these were their own vehicles) and they were comfortable for the 5 of us plus all of our luggage. However on our leaving day we were squished into an SUV with all of our luggage plus 5 passengers and we were not given a reduction to the cost or informed prior that this would be the case - so we had paid the higher amount but received a smaller vehicle than we had paid for as it was paid in advance. Luckily we had an amazing driver, Hendry who is a local young very knowledgable businessman, who made the journey very pleasant even we were squished in with the luggage.
