Great stay, highly recommend it! Paraty is beautiful and Oca Paraty is only a short drive away to the town centre.

The chalet was spotless clean, our hosts, Sandra and Marcos, were very welcoming and went out of their wait to make us comfortable. There was a feeder in the property which gave us the opportunity to see many beautiful birds. Breakfast was delicious.

Nice getaway in the forest.

Beautiful property in the forest of Paraty. The owner was just amazing and made sure that we felt like home. The Chalé is just a 1 minute walk to the river where you can swim in the cleanest fresh water. Not to mention, the breakfast was so good! We will definitely come back!!

Wonderful hospitality from very guest-focused hosts.

Fabulous setting in the forest but an easy 20 minute ride into Paraty. Very comfortable bed and lovely pillows. Nice breakfast delivered each morning to our room. Hosts are super friendly and helpful and made our stay extra special

We enjoyed our stay

Sandra and Marcos are very nice as hosts and we had a great stay. It was raining, but we didn't mind it, the place is beautiful anyways. Very clean and very nicely decorated,the hosts did a great job there! The bed was the best ever!!

Sandra would bring us breakfast to our doors every morning and that is wonderful! However, it could improve a bit in quality and variety, considering the rate per night is as high as for some well reviewed 4-star hotels.

Perfect getaway from the stress of the city! Very welcoming and super helpful hosts. Sandra and Marcos went out of their way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious, chalé was just like home and waking up to the birds and forest was heavenly! Highly recommend!

A ways from the town, but good if you want the peace. Internet was not stable, but again….if you want to get away, that’s OK. I finished my crochet project and did some reading and enjoyed the fresh air.

The best way to experience Paraty

In all the years I have been using booking, I don't know that I have ever given a perfect 10... but OCA Paraty (and that family who own it) deserves it. Everything about this family-owned place is done with love and attention and the owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. The chalets were built so that you can completely relax to the sights and sounds of the forest. What a treat to awake to the green view of the forest outside our window. The breakfasts were homemade to our taste every morning with freshly baked cake and Brazilian treats (in the company of the animals of the forest, including Macaque monkies). And the owners helped us to organise our day trips to the beaches and islands around Paraty and we could even hire them to drive us where we needed to go. No need for a taxi or a hire car. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at OCA and are looking forward to our next visit.

I honestly can't think of a better or more authentic way of experiencing Paraty and Brazil. Staying at OCA was the best decision we could have made. It was like staying with family friends.

Der perfekte Ort um die Mata Atlantica von Nahem mit allem Komfort kennenzulernen.

Die Pousade Oca-Paraty ist ein rundum gelungenes Angebot. Die Unterkunft ist spektakulär mit einem tollen Blick aus riesigen Fenstern direkt in den Regenwald, das Frühstück ist mehr als komplett und die Gastgeber Marcos und Sandra sind extrem hilfsbereit, freundlich und herzlich. Zu dem Grundstück gehört der Zugang zu einem Bergfluss mit Badestelle und aus der Hängematte auf der Terrasse lassen sich Tiere beobachten. Alles ist super gut gepfegt und sehr komfortabel. Wir haben mit Marcos eine Halbtagestour zu Fuss über den antiken "Goldweg" gemacht, was einen guten Einblick in Flora und Fauna der Mata Atlantica gibt. Auch hat er uns eine Bootstour zu den vorgelagerten Inseln von Paraty vermittelt - hat alles gut geklappt. Insgesamt hat uns das Engagement und die positive Haltung, mit der Marcos und Sandra ihr kleines Familien Ecotourismus Projekt betreiben, sehr beeindruckt und überzeugt und wir wünschen ihnen weiterhin gutes Gelingen und nette, wertschätzende Gäste.

Das einzige, was etwas problematisch ist, ist die Ein- und Ausfahrt auf das Grundstück bei Regen. Die Einfahrt ist gepflastert aber etwas steil und bei Regen natürlich rutschig. Aber unser Mietwagen hat es gut geschafft und Marcos ist bemüht, den Gästen das Ankommen und Verlassen des Grundstücks so einfach wie möglich zu gestalten.

O chalé é simplesmente incrível! Um paraíso de paz e tranquilidade no meio da floresta. Os anfitriões são extremamente prestativos e simpáticos, tornando a estadia ainda melhor. Os cantos dos pássaros, o som do rio, a preocupação com a natureza… difícil encontrar melhor refúgio! Até o “embalo” para subir a rampa torna-se um agradável divertimento 💙 A repetir, com certeza!!!

Com relação a acomodação é um ótimo lugar para ficar hospedado no meio da natureza, muito grande e bonito. No nosso quarto tinha uma ótima varandinha. A estrutura do banheiro é ótima, tem agua morna ou quente (a depender do clima) para banho e um lindo espelho. Possui também uma estrutura de cozinha com cooktop e utensílios onde conseguimos esquentar comidas. Não fazíamos questão alguma de internet, mas funcionou bem para o que precisávamos! Tem uma pequena trilha (5 minutos) até um rio interno que passa pela pousada. No nosso quarto tinha um deck para observar e ouvir a natureza tanto de dia quanto a noite era muito bom, o espaço da própria pousada é bem maravilhoso pra aproveitar. A Sandra e o Marcos (Hosts) foram ótimos anfitriões, deram várias dicas não só sobre o destino de paraty, mas também nos indicaram outros serviços super úteis na nossa próxima parada. Vale exaltar a responsabilidade com a natureza que a Oca tem, reflorestando toda a extensão do chalé e deixando a experiência mais imersiva!
