Accommodation that we will always recommend to everyone. :)

The owner of the accommodation was very approachable and a great host. We received a lot of useful advice regarding the locations we had to visit in the area. The breakfast is excellent, the owner tried to make us feel like a king and queen :) . The location is a vacation for the soul, in peace and quiet with beautiful nature and surroundings around the accommodation.

Charming italian bed and breakfast

Wonderful little bed and breakfast. The rooms have been renovated in an stunning Italian Style, the bed was super comfy and we had our private bathroom. Mariette is really helpful and laid back, she accommodated us arriving late on our first day. She is an excellent host, she serves the best breakfast ever, with plenty of sweet and salty options in a beautiful open air terrace. You do need a car to access the accommodation but it's a really good option if you want to enjoy peace and nature and still be close to the beach and pretty villages.

The host, Mariette, is amazing. She is full of life, ready to help her guests with any request and with advice and ideas. She wrote to us upfront with all the information needed for us to find the place, which is rather remote, and she was available to us throughout our stay. The location is quiet, in a forest, rather isolated, with an amazing view. The breakfast is rich, diverse, with fresh pastry, brought every morning from a bakery.

The remoteness of the location, which we loved, comes with some disadvantages, such as the poor mobile network and wifi.

we stayed three nights at Mariette's place, we booked the room with the private balcony including two deckchairs where we relaxed after visiting Cinque Terre. The room was extremely spacious with even a bath tub. We really enjoyed the tranquility of this place - in contrast to the tourists crowds in Cinque Terre. This house is surrounded by hills and forests, not to forget the wonderful garden where the breakfast buffet was served (fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants, ham and cheese, eggs, cakes, granola). Mariette was very helpful and helped us planning our trip to Cinque Terre (told us where to find alternative free parking options in La Spezia). All in all, we were happy to book this place as our starting point to explore Cinque Terre

We stayed at this place in August, as it was very hot even during the night, air condition or at least a fan would have been great. Opening the windows reduced the temperatures only to a small extend (the heat obviously might only be a problem during summer time and we knew beforehand that air condition would not be available) Be prepared that the last part of the road (600m) is very bumpy and you can only go very slow

Lovely place, totally recommended.

Awesome place and an awesome host. Marietta was so kind and helpful. She made our stay comfortable. The breakfasts were sweet, but she provided extra anything we want. The place is in the countryside, 15min to the centrum of La Spezia. Two restaurants are about 5min by car. Our apartment had two bedrooms and quite a big bathroom with a bath. If you want to listen to bird sounds and relax or looking for a nice base for further trips, don't hesitate to book.

I recently stayed at B&B Il Tulipano and it was a wonderful experience. The apartment was spacious, clean and cozy with beautiful view of the surrounding nature. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and made sure that I had everything I needed to feel at home. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served on the terrace every morning. It was such a treat to enjoy a cup of amazing coffee and a croissant while soaking up the morning sun and taking in the beautiful scenery. The location of the apartment was perfect for me as it provided a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, while still being within easy reach of all the local attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend B&B Il Tulipano to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. The apartment was clean, cozy and spacious, the host was kind and welcoming, and the location was perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature. I can't wait to come back and stay here again!

The property is breathtakingly beautiful and we got our best sleep during our trip thanks to the peace and quiet.

Located in a quiet area away from busy and noisy roads. We were told that only 7 families live near the property. We slept like babies thanks to the peace and quiet. The host was very welcoming to our special requests about breakfast. Our room was absolutely breathtaking and romantic with the warm fireplace.

The only small discomfort we faced was that our smartphones didn’t get any reception but thankfully there was free Wifi.

My family and I love old stone houses. What we loved about this particular house was that Mariette (owner) build it up from ruins with her own two hands. She really put her whole heart into it, because the moment you move into that place you feel like you are at home. Very cosy place with two friendly dogs running around the beautiful garden overlooking hills and breakfast really made with love to everyone’s satisfaction. 10 out of 10. 🫶

The host is super kind, responsive and flexible, breakfast is delicious, free parking, the b&b is located in the forest so the only thing you hear when you wake up are birds. We visited La Spezia and Cinque Terre from here which is a 20-40 minute drive depending on which city you’ll be visiting. It was perfect for us.

We really liked the location which was very quiet and peaceful. Mariette is very welcoming and accommodating and a wonderful host. You can ask her anything and she’ll help you. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and Mariette was always able to accommodate additional requests. Nothing was ever too much.

Perhaps a fan during hot weather but we didn’t ask!

Whole building is beautiful, looks like typical Toscanian house views and all arounds is perfect. near to La Spezia, Lerici, Cinque Terre. About 1km from staying is very good restaurant. Host, Mariette, ah, what a wonderful human being! She is amazing and she is creating the best atmosphere in the world. breakfasts are amazing, her cakes even better ❤️ we will back to the Tulipano place for sure and we highly recommend this place to everyone Also for dogs lovers - there are two cute dogs! 🐾

Fantastic place close to La Spezia!

The host being kind and the place being so close to La Spezia. The breakfast was amazing with homemade jams, eggs, baked cakes etc. The house is nicely renovated and from our room we had a great view towards a beautiful jungle, felt you were suddenly in a tropical forest 😃 The host was so kind to fix an extra bed for our daughter in a short time.

Excelent breakfast, very clean room and very nice location, somehow in the forest. The host was very nice, even though the weather was rainy while we were there she managed to guide us every day to the sunny locations so we managed to visit all around. She gave us great ideas about where and when to go.
