A beautiful house in a beautiful location. The owner, Luísa was exceptional. She couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast she provided was more than enough for breakfast and lunch, and the daily cake she baked was amazing each time, it was so light and delicious, and each time it was delicately flavoured with a different fruit. She also spoke Portuguese very clearly, as if she's a teacher. The house, and outside are full of character, although with modern facilities in the kitchen and in the bathroom. We'll remember Luísa and her house for a long time.

The shower could be a bit small for large people, and the space would be quite tight if two large cars tried to park in the shared space. It was fine for our little Hyundai Inster and the mini of the guests next door. It was also a little dark inside, but this did fit the character of the house perfectly.

De persoonlijke aandacht, de verse broodjes, sap etc dagelijks voor ontbijt zijn echt geweldig. Alles is keurig onderhouden. Prima bed. Het huis is ruim, zowel binnen als buiten. Ligging is perfect, de auto kan op de binnenplaats maar wij vonden het straatje ernaar toe wat krap. Parkeren kan prima en veilig net aan de rand, 5 minuten lopen van het oude stadje. Genoeg eethuisjes, veel wandelpaden en prima om hier vandaan met de auto het nationaal park te bezoeken. De eigenaresse woont boven de supermarkt. Voor het geval je het niet weet te vinden. Of telefonisch te bereiken. Dat was even lastig.

We loved our stay here! The hostess, Luisa, is wonderful - with plenty of food supplied for breakfast, including fresh bread every day, good quality cheeses, and delicious homemade jam, not to mention a very generous platter of fruit, as well as milk, juice, yoghurt etc. The interior of the house is in a traditional style, with high quality furniture. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Soajo, with an excellent walk starting right there.

The hospitality was exceptional! The house has such an authentic and homely feeling.

Was a bit hot- we were there in July.
