Contrada del Nonno Apartments (city center - private parking on-site)

The location is fantastic. It’s a very very short walk to old town. The really amazing thing about this apt is there is on-site parking which is a big deal in Rovinj. We arrived after dark and were concerned about finding the Apt. The innkeeper didn’t know our concern and only knew our approximate arrival time, but was kind enough to come out to the street periodically and look for us to wave us in. This made our lives so much easier as it’s a one-way street and if we passed it, we would have to figure out how to get back. The innkeeper was very friendly and responsive and thoughtful and helpful. We had room #2. It has a huge living/dining/kitchen area and a good-sized bedroom and bath. Everything is new and fresh and modern. The unit was exceptionally clean and new. The A/C was in the living room but it was pointed at the bedroom so it worked just fine. Ceilings were high. Bed was firm with a soft pillow top. It was bigger than queen size and smaller than king. And the bed was longer than normal.

There is no elevator but we had no problem bringing up our luggage though you need to know it is one flight of stairs but it’s a long flight. The kitchen has everything you could need but we didn’t need to use it. There is no safe but it wasn’t an issue. The body wash/shampoo are extremely small packets that I had trouble opening but I eventually got used to them. There are no kitchen towels but there are extra towels in the bathroom drawer you can use in the kitchen. These minor things are a small price to pay for free parking! I absolutely recommend staying here.

Cleanliness, modern amenities, and prime location near the historic center, design by her architect daughter. Would like to stay here again, and for longer.

The host was timely, efficient, friendly and helpful. The unit was spacious and clean, with a small kitchen, and a private parking spot on site which is a rare find. Just a short flight of stairs to haul our luggage up. The location was perfect as it was quiet at night and only a 2-3 minute walk into the heart of the action. It helps that Rovinj is a beautiful town also.

Spacious, and parking place was a bonus. The location was also very handy to visit town centre and for eating out!

The apartment was great for two people, but the furnishings were rather sparse and could be improved…some basics: a coffee machine would have been great (usually included in accommodation of this category, for example.)
