Amsterdam-Houseboat-Amstel

I loved the location, and the experience of staying on the canal. The houseboat was very clean and relaxing.

I did not like the fact that we had to wait almost 30min to get into the space. I was told to send a message via WhatsApp at 14:30 to gain access. I sent a message 14:40, and received no response. I called and left a message, then another WhatsApp message at 15:04, and finally received a response at 15:21. I’m a very punctual person and would have appreciated if the individual would have just sent me an access message at 14:30 instead of me having to message him, as I was tired and had plans. Other than that, all was very nice. My suggestion in the future would be for the staff to send the access information at check in time instead of having to request it. The money had already been paid, so there should not have been an issue.

Checkin was delayed and staff was a bit rude and unclear about it. Wasnt clear until 230pm when i can come and check in. Created a bit of last minute stress. Would be great to have an open terrace

We stayed for three nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The location is excellent, with easy access to the city either on foot or via tram. Staying on a houseboat was a unique touch and really enhanced our Amsterdam experience. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped and comfortable throughout. The beds were particularly comfortable, which was appreciated after long days exploring the city. It was also pleasantly quiet in the evenings, allowing for a good night’s rest. Overall, a lovely stay and we would happily return.

There was nothing significant to note. As expected in Amsterdam, getting around may involve a fair amount of walking or use of public transport, but this is reflective of the city rather than the property itself.

Wonderful place, clean and comfortable with very good transport connections. The owner is extremely kind, understanding and helpful. I recommend!
