A very nice, calm & beautiful place to stay at

+ the road or even trail to go (from) Le Grand Pont (espec. with a bicycle); + the amazingly beautiful garden, that lets one see some of the sun & the Bocage across the trees; + the old farm's wood floor and stone walls; + the cleanliness (I have no issue believing my host about the time it takes); + facilities are appropriate and comfortable to me, eg: the bed, bathroom, little desk, electrical plug. + the breakfast is good (French guy speaking) made of fresh croissants, bread & butter.

WiFi reception should be improved a bit, and breakfast's bread could be made just a little more available for cyclists & alike, please.

Norman haven

Large romantic well presented farmhouse with lots of antique features surrounded by hectares of land. Further enhaced by owners Tony and Jill kindness and and fabulous sense of hospitality. I arrived late but Jill kindly awaited as i made my way from the ferry port. Large room with own bathroom. My widow opened over the green surrounding countryside. I hope to back.

Nice countryside house with nicely furnished rooms and great hosts.

While the rooms were huge and nicely furnished, Jill and Tony were great hosts. The rooms have several beds, sink and showers. Jill is a great chef and cooked a nice dinner after very good pre-arrival communication. The house is situated in a very nice, quiet part of the countryside but good to reach by car. 10/10

This is French countryside!

Le Grand Pont is a funny name because it is located outside a tiny village. The farmhouse is managed by a very friendly English couple who would do anything to make you feel at home. The room I received was renovated in a nice way (bright colors) and the one window has a splendid panorama view along the countryside. I was told there are several animals around the house such as sheep, so I guess if you travel as a family there is a lot to experience for children as well. A larger town by the name of Vassy is just 10 minutes away.

I absolutely adored the owners! The most friendly and loveable couple ever! With the most charming pup ❤ Everything about my stay was great - hospitality, atmosphere, room, conditions. I've rented quite a large room (I guess it could fit up to 5 people) by myself. Enough space, blameless cleanness and I really liked the stylish decor. The bed I've chosen was also extremely comfortable. For this particular location you'd really need a car though. I also think it's a great choice for business trips, since you can feel a bit like home here. Great value for the money, I definitely recommend.

Absolute Ruhelage im Herzen der Normandie, in einer Landschaft mit viel Grün, Hügeln und kleinen Flüssen, die durch die Wiesen wie seit Ewigkeiten ihre Mäander ziehen. Charmantes Haus mit Rosenhecken außen, innen geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Überraschung: die Gastgeber sind Briten (die wie viele andere in der Normandie eine neue Heimat gefunden haben)! Gutes Frühstück. Gerne wären wir noch länger geblieben.

Un dépaysement, loin de Paris et de sa pollution!

Nous avons particulièrement aimé les hôtes et nous les remercions pour leur gentillesse et leur hospitalité! Le chien George est adorable, nous avons également rencontré les moutons et les chèvres. Leur maison est chaleureuse, les jardins sont magnifiques. Merci de l’accueil, nous reviendrons sans hésiter❤️

Séjour très agréable au calme, à la campagne, chez des hôtes chaleureux. La maison ancienne est pleine de charme et on peut profiter du grand jardin bien arboré. Excursions intéressantes dans le bocage environnant : zoo de Jurques, ardoiserie de Caumont... Je reviendrai !

Gostámos de tudo. A localização é óptima, é um pouco Isolda, mas tínhamos noção disso e era o que procurávamos, uma paragem tranquila e partilhar o estilo de vida com os moradores do local. A casa e jardim são lindos, e o quarto é enorme e belíssimo, a minha filha adorou estar a ler à janela. Jorge, o cão, é extremamente simpático, aproveitámos para matar saudades dos nossos cães. Os proprietários são uns queridos e muito simpáticos. O pequeno almoço bom, com pão, croissants, pan au chocolate, e várias bebidas. Quando viemos embora ainda tivemos o privilegio de nos ofereceram uns frutos do seu quintal, por sinal maravilhosos. A melhor estadia da nossa longa viagem, em relação ao preço/ qualidade.

enchanteur même pour un vieux campagnard endurci

Dans un coin de campagne profonde mais Vire à 20km, un charmant couple d'anglais (même le chien est très gentil) vous reçoivent dans leur maison typiquement normande, de grandes pièces claires d'une propreté exemplaire. Literie, salle de bain, une douche dernier cri, petit dèj trop copieux, calme, tout y est parfait. Rien à voir avec le "Première Classe" de la veille et pour moins cher...
