Location location LOCATION. Quiet and calming and such a beautiful escape. We didn't want to leave our accommodation! Spent ages on the balcony just taking it all in! Well equipped, lovely appliances and comfy bed!

Couple of minor maintenance tweaks could be make. A few melted cooking implements, the toilet didn't flush well.

The bed was so comfy, the view was amazing and the owner responded to my question immediately. It was a cozy wonderful stay. I also liked the little decorations.

The lockbox was rusty. It could use some oil. Same as the door knob and key.

So the property was well appointed and the view out over the mountain and sea was pretty good

I think that what the property was costing the hosts could have supplied tea and coffee. Also the wifi connection was incorrect, but I managed to sort that out. Signage on front door needs updating as do hosts messaging. I guess my biggest gripe was the parking which consisted of a narrow entrance into the parking spot, I was driving a small car (Corolla) but even so it caused problems especially with having to reverse out.

Slice of heaven in Piha

The view = unmatched! WOW. Cute little place; nothing fancy, but extra comfy and cozy inside and out. Did I mention the view? Seriously the best one I had in all of my time in NZ. Quiet, private, clean, equipped! Water and milk! Cookies! Comfy furniture. Roomy bathroom. Loved the robes! We booked a photo shoot in Karekare Beach, which is super convenient to this place. Definitely go see Karekare Falls/Beach! I would t hesitate to stay again and again.

It was not easy to reach due to road construction on already winding, curvy, elevated roads! Not a quick or easy trip to/from Auckland no matter the time of day. Parking tricky until we did it a time or two.

This is a truly amazing location. Beautiful home, fantastic view, peaceful and private location surrounded by bird song. Kitchen has everything you need. It was so nice we extended our stay

Be careful of access onto Piha Rd. Piha has limited facilities so bring your own food and grog.

Romantic & very isolated. Bring your own food

The location is outstanding but it is hard to find. Must study the instructions very carefully & have good GPS. Must arrive in daytime, otherwise you will not find it. You must buy your own food to cook. No restaurant around unless you reserve & know the town well. It’s a hidden place, good for romance. Very isolated

Much difficulty to find despite excellent GPS in my car. Even local taxi driver did not know & pointed us the opposite way. No easy place to buy food to cook or even takeout, especially on weekends and special day . Places close early. Once you check in yourself you would not go out after sunset as the road outside is dangerous

A spectacular little gem hidden in the hills overlooking the ocean. A nearly perfect getaway spot!

Absolute gem of a place. Everything inside was high quality and the view from the terrace was spectacular -- just a wide swath of native forest stretching all the way to the sea.

The bed was lovely, with quality sheets, but the use of a sheet and blankets instead of a duvet was very frustrating. We got tangled up during the night and had to get up to readjust things.

Luxury in Piha

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Location was quiet and the bush setting peaceful. Extremely comfortable and spacious with beautiful furnishings. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need and more to cook, even condiments in pantry. Outdoor living was gorgeous with plenty of space and seating - lounge seating, dining setting and hammock. Loved the BBQ and darts board! The views....million dollar!!!

There wasn't anything we didn't like, however would have been nice to have a washer and dryer to use.

Despite access issues following the cyclone, we made it to the house. Our host arranged an emergency food parcel as everything local was closed. Fantastic service. Couldn't be better.

Kathy the host was amazing. We rode out Cyclone Gabrielle there, and she made sure we had everything we needed! Room and view were great, with a quick ride to Piha Black Sand Beach, which is a wonderfully quaint town. - Michael and Alexandra
