Tinikos Guest House

My room was beautiful, large, cozy, and clean. It's about a 3-5 minute walk to downtown. My room had a balcony and a desk, and the Wi-Fi was good. Tariel, his wife, and his whole family were incredibly kind and welcoming. As a solo traveler, they made me feel part of the family. They offered me homemade wine, chacha, and coffee, and invited me to a family dinner; I even got to make a few khinkali! Tariel offered to drive me around the countryside one day for a great price, which I did. He took me to two very old monasteries, an old mansion and park, and two wineries, one of which included a tour of a soviet era wine cave, 8km long! I was able to share a taxi with Tariel's family, who were also going to Tbilisi. Staying here was a highlight of my trip to Georgia. Thank you!

Very friendly host, clean rooms, clean washroom, amazing views, felt like home

Great location in Telavi just a short walk from the museum and palace. Easy access to plenty of places to eat including the excellent Zodiaco. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and hospitable, providing us each with complimentary glass of wine and traditional Georgian snacks. He even drove us to the bus station to make sure we caught the right marshrutka even though it was a short walk. Spacious room with high ceiling, comfortable bed and very clean, with beautiful garden. It was like staying with family. It’s easy to see why this place rates so highly.
