Villa Paradise, Pool and Sea View

No aircon in main room

Villa was nice.

On the first evening of our stay we had power outage, which lasted through the entire night. Electricity was cut off only from us. We repeatedly asked for help from reception, but they wouldn’t fix the issue. All the food we had in the fridge went bad. We asked for compensation from the villa's owner, the response was that they would compensate 30 euros for the food, if we made a good review on booking.com. In the end, we had to pay almost 200 eur extra for electricity, even though the electricity was supposed to be included in the price. The owner told us after the vacation that we have to pay by use. Nothing like that was mentioned when we made the reservation. This left a bad taste..

It was too far from anything and the price of taxis were very expensive. There was only 2 of us staying at the villa and was still charged for electricity usage 500 but for 8 nights Even though the price we paid included it.

In need of a relaxing vacation from busy City Life which was well delivered on our trip to Samui. Didnt want a hotel surrounded by kids in the pool like previous visits so decided to stay in the PI villa. From booking, through to communications prior to and after our stay the owner was easy to talk to and assisting with any queries. The Villa itself was amazing, in a peaceful setting with great views of Samui. 5mins from Tesco Lotus, 10mins from the beach and main places in Chaweng, 10/15mins to the Airport. Ideal for us wanting a relaxing vacation. Tesco Lotus being so close was great for us as we could stock up on food/drink and not get bored/tired of eating out every night. On site staff were all pleasant and talkative. Very helpful and assisted us when needed... booking Taxi’s, recommendations of places to visit etc. We went on a few excursions to which we thought the pick up location could be an issue as not a hotel but we had no problems and we were collected from and dropped back off at the entrance to the estate. Overall a great trip and experience. Not sure why Booking.com has this down as a 3 star - should be higher.

Only issue we had were rolling blackouts across the Island at the time of our visit. AC off for maybe an hour or two but remedied by a dip in the pool... not a fault with the villa or locality, was a widespread issue on Samui.
