The hotel is situated near the city’s downtown area, 2 minute walk to main city square which littered with nice restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was lovely, fresh orange juice and eggs made to order. Can recommend this boutique hotel to anyone.

Nice location in a quiet location in the town but close to bars, restaurants etc. The small kitchenette was very welcome allowing us to self cater. Comfortable bed.

It may have only been €5.0 but in a 3 month European tour this was the only hotel we stayed in where they charged to store our bicycles. Having charged us €190 for a single night without breakfast we felt the hotel is overpriced.

Room was lovely and owner was super friendly and helpful. Great first night in Netherlands

Beautiful hotel, friendly and welcoming lady on reception - so sorry, I forgot to ask your name. I believe she is the owner but am not 100% sure. The room was clean, bright, comfortable but also cosy. Great location!!!!! Highly recommend this hotel. We did not eat breakfast ourselves but it looked fantastic when I popped into the breakfast room to return our room key.

Timetravel to the good old days . A lovely hotel rarely seen. I was travelling to Groinchem from Amsterdam for a businerss exhibition, hold in this small village. Arrival to the Groinchem train station daytime. As a business traveller , I was searching for a taxi station, and first surprisre: no taxi station at the railway station. I asked a passanger , where is a taxi station: the answer was : there are no taxi station, but the hotel you look for , its only 3km far away , take a walk !, he said. WOOOOW, I never walk in business trips as I am always in a hurry, but this way what could I do , no Uber around, so I had to walk. After the first 10minutes of walk, I felt something different .Old maximum 1 story level height, hundreds year old buildings in old dutch style. The time travel started as I was walking through the oldtown. During my 1 hour walk I met 3 cars passing by, 10 people meet, including 2 dog walkers. there are canals in the oldtown, which gives an authentic athmosphere, and strange, but there are no boats in the canals. Finally an old walking street , shopping street started where my hotel was. The shopping street was also empty daytime 2.00pm, which also give a time travel feeling how old small ducth villages could look 100 years ago, when no high traffic existed. The hotel reception was in a former shop, with a reception table, and i got a very warm welcome. The lady showed me around , and the group of rooms were in the neighbour , formerly big shop area. SO this is a hotel in shop feeling I liked very much, my room viewed to a backyardgarden The room is very stylish, latest trendy filament lights, the bathroom is much much better , like a 4 star hotel, with very fine towels and all things needed was prepared very fine quality I took a walk in this old walking shopping streets, where 30% of the shops are closed due lack of shoppers, as locals said , internet took the shoppers away. continue in the nextbox as no more space here :)

following the likes box here from above: Intersting , every third existing shops are haircutter shops, they say due to many closed shops the haircutters survive as there are no e -haircutters. The breakfast was perfect, a former coffee shop facing to the street is the breakfast room, near the rooms ,so a real coffee shop feeling was given during breakfast. AMAZING . Everything fresh , very kind stuff, the coffee was a perfect barista quality. I cannot say anything I dont like. Sitting in the shopwindow , having morning coffee, every people (a very few ) passing by in the street, were heading to me and said good morning. WOW. what a real old time feeling, no rush , no music, silent morning. A nice cat is sitting on the top of a flower cast box, the opposite side of the street ,where the morning hotel breakfast coffee located. A passer by girl stops and pets the cat for a minute, then leaves. The cat enjoyed . The time stopped now . So If you want a time travel back to good old dutch days , and want to stay in a lovely , stylish perfecto unique hotel , try this anyway . I will surely come back when in Groinchem next time ,

Beautiful big room, lovely simple furnishings, very comfortable and a great welcome

Stairs up to our room were steep, which wasn’t a problem for us but would be for less able people.

The private terrasse and garden. Clean .

The bed: not acceptable two matrass together that did not fits good in the bed, make It so no confortable at all. For the rate payed IS more than bad. Ángela.
