The balcony overlooked a stream and the retreat was surrounded by trees and birdsong. The owner Sue was a delight. She made us feel at home and gave us numbers for local takeaways
The road up to the retreat was a bit challenging, but ok in daylight

A lovely Retreat , lovely location, beautiful surroundings and nice and quiet , Sue was such a lovely lady a fantastic host , who went above and beyond, made to feel warmly welcome always on hand if you needed anything. Such a relaxing time , running stream and beautiful bird song

Nice and quiet location.
The room smelt a bit damp or it was the people who stayed before I couldn’t tell but again both me and my partner are sensitive to smells.

Great location and Sue (the Host) is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had good facilities (TV, tea, coffee) The bathroom had a good size shower which was decent. My dog was also welcome! You can do a good loop walk along the river or venture up the big hill opposite. Love the free roaming chickens too! Blissfully quite I didn't try the hot tub.
I found The Falcon Inn via a google maps search. The photo's on there are not current and I didn't look at the photo's on Booking.com. I think for that reason I was expecting a restaurant and bar on site. Sadly these are no longer available. Such a shame
