Our stay, after the hiccups already mentioned was very good. Excellent location, comfortable and very quiet.

The location is excellent for city Centre

The property is good , the decor is dated and we didn’t realize the washing machine was in a utility room off the entrance hall. This is ok but think it should be stated on booking.com. We stayed in room 3, and think clearer instructions for some things are needed. In order to use microwave the extractor and hob need to be switched on . I think a little note explaining this would be great. Also you really need to tug hard on the cord for the shower. We were worried we might break it so contacted the services, so again a little note would be helpful. Lastly the television reception was a little dodgy particularly on bbc I player.

Exceptionally clean, quiet location and free parking much appreciated. Very warm and spacious bedroom and lounge.

Good , quiet apartment with free parking

Great self contained ground floor apartment within walking distance to local shops and town centre. Quiet and accessible by key code on the front door of the building. There is a separate key to your allocated apartment. My apartment had bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom with great hot shower. There is a fridge, 2 ring electric rings and combined microwave/oven. It was great to have fresh milk with amble tea and coffee, plus some mini boxes of cereal and snack bars. There is on site free parking . No issues with the wifi and there’s a tv in the lounge and in the bedroom. Flat was heated and there was an additional storage heater if required. just wanted to add that the Host Barbara was excellent re her communication prior and checking if everything was okay during my stay plus information pack inside the appartment.

pillows were a bit soft for my needs but wasn't a big issue

A wonderful place to stay

We loved Everything about this Byways serviced apartment . we had a wonderful 5 nights stay in the studio apartment no 1 .. the price was amazing for where it was and with parking .. comunication was fab before we arrived and during our stay, everywhere was spotlesly clean and tidy .. fab parking onsite and even a Christmas tree in the lobby and a little one in our place .. Christmas chocys left for everyone to help themselves in the lobby .. we loved all the little extra touches The apartment was really lovely, bigger then expected with a shower room with toilet and sink and also a separate large bathroom with bath, sink and toilet .. a lovely small kitchen which was equipped with all you need for cooking and lots of tea, coffee, milk supplied .. a nice touch was a few small boxes of cereal and also 2 granola bars .. The area was quiet and safe also a very short distance to the city and shopping centre .. also a safe neighbourhood .. we would highly recommend and would definatly use it again .. it was perfect .. thankyou

Amazing in Salisbury

Barbara went above and beyond to make the apartment welcoming. She was super quick to respond when we had a problem and emailed a couple of times with helpful information and checking that we were ok.

Lovely but needs an internal lock on the door

Great location, clean and quiet. Well equipped kitchen.

No internal lock on the door and a slightly odd layout (the bedroom and living area are combined and then there’s a tiny kitchen off that) which isn’t a huge issue but I prefer another apartment in this building which has a separate bedroom and living area. It was absolutely freezing on the first night and the host didn’t reply to messages about lack of heating but did resolve this promptly when I was able to phone her the next day.

Convenient, comfortable and quiet but not very secure.

This was my second stay in this property. The proximity to town (where I was working) is great and having a car parking space was really useful. It’s well equipped and quiet and suited me very well and a single worker who was only really there at night.

The mattress wasn’t great - there’s a huge dip on one side where it’s obviously lost any springs - but I was able to sleep on the other side. The oddest thing about the apartment, though, is that there’s no secondary lock inside (no chain or bolt or anything) which means that anyone with a key can enter the property at any time. The key is just left in the door for the person checking in and the code to the main door hasn’t changed in over a year. All these felt to me like quite lax security measures and when I raised it with the owner, I was told that I was able to cancel the booking if I would like but that they didn’t see any of these things as problematic a) because no one else had complained and b) because they wanted to be able to enter the property in an emergency. If I was travelling with my partner then this might have worried me less, but as a solo female traveler I did feel uneasy about the fact that someone could enter when I was eg asleep or in the shower.

A little oasis of calm.

A fabulous little apartment, with off road parking and only 5 minutes walk to the city centre. Everything you need for a short stay. We cooked in the little kitchen and had all we needed to make simple meals, we also ordered in and there's loads around to choose from. The apartment is on a quiet street but only minutes walk from the centre and the cathedral.

If you are a larger build couple you may find the bed a bit small but a larger bed wouldn't fit in the room to be fair.

Finding the place might feel a little tricky at first, but once you’re there, it’s wonderfully quiet and spotlessly clean. A lovely spot to relax!

Terrific value in a great location

Great location, very clean and tidy, comfortable bed and the free parking is very handy. Barbara sent friendly emails keeping us informed.

It's very good accommodation and (almost) everyone rightly praises it but don't be led into thinking it's going to be the Ritz. The apartment is a little bit tired but it is great value and we'll stay there again if we can.

Byways Serviced Apartment Little Gem

The host was very helpful and informative. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment was nicely furnished and very clean and private. Free parking with lots of space. The setting was very pretty. There are even laundry facilities available. The apartment was very quiet, day and night. The kitchen was very nice as all the amenities were supplied. We really enjoyed our stay and are suggesting that our friends and family stay here in the future

Byways House Flat 3

Flat 3 is a quiet and spacious self-catering flat. Comfortable double sized bed. The shower ensuite was clean and modern. The kitchen is small and functional with a fridge, combination microwave oven and a two ring hob. A good selection of pans, utensils, crockery etc. A nice touch is plentiful coffee, tea and sugar and the breakfast cereal and milk for the first morning, if you need it. Excellent Wi-Fi, never buffered at all. A very enjoyable and convenient place to stay in Salisbury with the benefit of car parking. Would definitely recommend the Byways House

Just a couple of negatives. The chest of drawers in the bedroom has missing handles and the drawers are really awkward too open and close. The tv in the lounge works well but is very dated with a small screen.

Salisbury gem!

Absolute gem of an apartment. Spacious ground floor accommodation, well equipped with lots of parking and only minutes walking into the centre of Salisbury. Comfortable bed, good linens and loved the provision of a few basics too!

Only one very, very minor point. There was a full bathroom which was lovely and a smaller shower room with a wash basin and toilet. Brilliant shower but couldn't make the toilet seat cover stay up!

Solo trip

It was very clean and had 2 bathrooms, including a bath in one. Gorgeous smelling shampoo, body wash. The bed was comfy. Nice surprise of cereal and milk provided, too. Parking was easy and off the street. Easy 10-15 min walking distance to the marketplace & Cathedral. As a solo traveller, I felt safe. Excellent information provided prior to the trip. Highly recommend.

Salisbury Gem

Very spacious apartment, comfortable bed. Flat 1 has both shower room and bathroom. Kitchen tiny and very well appointed. Induction double hob, combi microwave and fridge with freezer box, perfect for self catering. Fantastic that parking is on site as the streets around are permit parking only. Great value on booking.com with Genius.

Google has the directions wrong! Do not turn into Methuen Drive, the entrance is off Fowlers Road.

We had lovely stay in Salisbury and found more places to see than expected.

Byways is within easy walking distance to the town’s centre where there were a many pubs and cafes. Beside the Cathedral there are other churches to visit. Wood henge and Olaf Sarum Castle are worth visiting . Parking the car was easy at Byways and we had no concerns about leaving the car in the grounds of the apartment area.

Communication with the host was extremely poor. We arrived at 5:00 pm and yet we had not received any instructions about getting into the apartment. After two phone calls on two alternative phone numbers, an email and a booking.com message there was still no answer. Luckily, another couple arrived while we were waiting and following their instructions we gained access to our room.

Thoroughly pleased with our holiday at the accommodation. Would definitely seek to stay there again.

Excellent for space, quietness, facilities and cleanliness. Bed was very comfortable , shower was ideal and the kitchen adequately equipped. Took a little time to get used to the hob and the absence of instructions for use of the cooker again took a little while to resolve. No big issues but worth commenting on. Car parking was fine and never a problem throughout the week.

Excellent location that was quiet, but only 10 minutes walk into town. Onsite parking was a bonus. Very spacious apartment with lots of storage and comfortable bed. Ours had 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen, so couldn't have asked for more really!
