Kuda Laut Bungalows & Diving

Caithrin has created a very special oasis of four self contained houses with ground floor bedroom & open bathroom and a delightful upper floor providing an additional area, open at one end, that we used for afternoon sleeps and reading. As you enter Kuda Laut, you are greeted by a beautiful large garden with lots of grass, trees, flowering shrubs and the path takes you to the eating & kitchen area and then onto the four holiday houses. There is a diving centre outside the garden where guests can store their own diving equipment (the staff do all the rinsing for you!). Caithrin arranged my diving & organised a wonderful dive guide, Hory, good quality dive boat with a professional boat captain. Menjangan Island has excellent diving & snorkeling and I saw an Eagle Ray, several reef sharks, trevally jacks, moray eels, turtles, the largest lobster I have ever seen, clown triggerfish, crocodile fish, puffer fish & many typical reef fishes. There were beautiful soft & hard corals with large fan & table corals as well. Our room had quiet AC, stylish decor, comfortable bed, plenty of storage/hanging space and there is room at the bottom of the staircase, leading up to the 1st floor area, to put your suitcases or duffle bags so they don't clutter up the bedroom. The open bathroom has a screen of bamboo, a spout shower, toilet & basin with lots of additional cupboard space under it. Hide the soap, with the cupboard doors firmly closed, as there is a cheeky squirrel who likes stealing the bathroom hand soap! You have been warned! The kitchen can provide simple lunches, cooks delicious breakfasts & there is a fridge with drinks that cost extra. There is free drinking water for your water bottles & for a water jug in your room. The wi fi is fast and reliable. The staff are very friendly, happy & helpful, thank you to Komang, Decni, Luto for making our stay so special.

Das Kuda Laut ist ein echtes Juwel - wir haben uns zu Hause gefühlt und die Erlebnisse in und um Pemuteran - angefangen von perfekten Tauchtouren, der Open Water Diver Ausbildung für die Familie bis hin zu der abwechslungsreichen, stets exzellenten Küche und den Ausflügen im Nordwesten Balis - werden uns lange in positiver Erinnerung bleiben. We had a wonderful time staying at Cathrin's place. The accomodation is a reflection of her beauty, from the inside and outside too. You can tell she poured her heart and soul into making it a home away from home for all guests. The energy and the vibes of the place are amazing. Thank you again to the whole team for everything!

There is nothing to report really, but if I really have to comment on something, it would be about the bamboo shower, not really a city girl like me best friend.

This was a lovely find! The place is lovely, super comfortable, clean and well decorated. The staff is the best, they go above af beyond to make your stay comfortable. Pemuteran still hold a feel of authenticity, this guesthouse helped to enjoy every bit of it. I will definitely come back!
