Check-in was easy and the staff answered all questions promptly. The space is super comfortable, with all amenities. The kitchen is equipped, and the bathroom is spacious. The bonsai trees displayed outside are a spectacle in themselves, not to mention the fishes in the lake. Lovely and very peaceful.

The positives of staying at the Zen guesthouse are its convenient location (just a few minutes drive from the castle and palaces) and of course, the bonsai displays! We love bonsai and have studied the art for years, so it was lovely to be surrounded by such a variety and see the bonsai museum.
The accommodation is very basic (bed, tiny bathroom, small sitting area with bar fridge, no kettle. The rooms need a good vacuuming, and the furniture is very tired. We made the mistake of thinking the accommodation was self-catering, but it's definitely not - you need to eat out.
