I enjoyed the quietness of the room, and the fact it was located at a higher floor, with a good landscape view, also over the bonsai garden.
There could be some investment in the bath room ( at least in the room where I was ) and on the front widows ( temperature and sound isolation )

Definitely a wonderful, unique experience. As well as the comfy room with a kitchenette, just outside the door was a beautiful, peaceful setting, complete with bonsai trees and koi fish. In addition, the hosts were very kind and welcoming and went out of their way to help us.

The positives of staying at the Zen guesthouse are its convenient location (just a few minutes drive from the castle and palaces) and of course, the bonsai displays! We love bonsai and have studied the art for years, so it was lovely to be surrounded by such a variety and see the bonsai museum.
The accommodation is very basic (bed, tiny bathroom, small sitting area with bar fridge, no kettle. The rooms need a good vacuuming, and the furniture is very tired. We made the mistake of thinking the accommodation was self-catering, but it's definitely not - you need to eat out.
