Casas com charme

Casas com Charme is a truly special place. It's very cozy, and furnished with great care and attention to detail. The bed is very comfortable, a bit narrower than what you might expect in Northern Europe, but it was perfectly fine. Compact and charming bathroom and kitchen. Everything was spotless. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and very well looked after. We were able to park our car safely on the enclosed property and were welcome to use the large garden. It's a 5-minute walk to Sintra train station and about 15 minutes to the town center. We loved it!

We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and host. While small and simple, the space has everything you need, was clean and comfortable and the location simply can't be beat being just around the corner from quieter "new" part of Sintra (2 min. walk) and an easy stroll into the Historic district. Our host was fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed. Free parking on the property meant no worry about arriving by car and having a place to leave it during our stay. Having access to the grounds of the main house was also a nice treat. Thank you so much!

Not a complaint, just info to help others. Like every older place we have ever stayed in Portugal, a bit of a musty smell. No fault of the residence or the host, and certainly not as strong as many places, this is just Portugal. Only mention it in case someone is ultra sensitive or unaware that this is normal in Portugal. Once we opened it up, everything was fine. If you are used to this reality, you probably won't even notice it.
