Location, parking options, staff attitude, room itself, breakfast - all best in class - and I say that after two weeks travelling around Europe staying in different hotels.

It was seriously all good.

Close to the old town.

The heating in the bathroom did not work. The room was fairly cold. Parking is expensive: 16 euro. Breakfast also not cheap with 16 euro

Location was great for my trip.

The room and bathroom were quiet and reasonably clean. The bed itself was comfortable, which was a small saving grace — though the pillows were quite flat and thin, and I ended up layering a cushion underneath one to get a comfortable night's sleep. Two pillows per person would make a noticeable difference. As a basic, no-frills stay it was functional, but there was nothing that stood out or made it feel like anything beyond the bare minimum.

The hotel profile on Booking.com listed 'on-site accessible parking' as a single feature. In reality, these are two separate things: the parking is a nearby paid APCOA car park, not hotel-owned or free, and the accessibility refers to a lift connecting that car park to the road the hotel is on. Combining them into one listing feature is misleading — 'on-site' implies the parking is part of the hotel, which it is not. Guests filtering for "parking" would reasonably assume it is included with their stay or on site with payment to hotel. The receptionist acknowledged this was a known discrepancy. Booking.com and the hotel both need to correct how this is listed and communicated. Room had a faulty door lock. After two separate reports to reception (going down three floors and back), we were moved to new — where the lock was also broken. A staff member spent time attempting to fix it but could not. We ended up sleeping with a do-not-disturb sign on an unlocked door. There are no phones in the rooms or even one on each floor. Every issue required a physical trip to reception and back — exhausting and impractical, especially for accessibility-dependent guests The replacement room was studio-style. The kitchen sink had visible limescale, and the coffee from the machine had no flavour— suggesting the machine had not been cleaned in some time or the coffee pads where left out for long. When I reported this to reception the next morning, there was no offer of a replacement coffee or any gesture of goodwill. The response was simply that they would pass it on to manager — same response we received throughout our stay, with no follow-through. Overall, the stay fell well below expectations due to these unresolved maintenance and listing issues. Not very Wyndham standard. Another lesson to not go by chain's name.
