it was quite central. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well.
The booking said two single beds but I was given a small room with just one single bed.
There was a notice next to the kettle that said to boil water would cost €20. I couldn’t make out if this was serious or a mistranslation so I didn’t use the kettle.

Location
The central heating was on only some hours from the evening until the morning. The room was freezing during the day and the heating unit in the bedroom did not work well to heat a room of that size. Despite a cool heat in Madrid, the hostal does not provide appropriate heating the whole day.
I could hear very loud noises from other bedrooms until very late. I could not sleep well.
